Yes you have to have made an absolute fortune like Sir Elton John or Sir Paul McCartney. No one in rock who is not as such will be knighted. Actors get knighted easier, but still that is a tuff crowd too. Not many get Knighted. As for Criteria? I think it's just a lifetime of achievement and representing the country in a positive light.
