Dan:
Go to the Intro Page: Priest in Yokohama & Tokyo. Couple of Good reviews there.
As far as I have ssen/heard, not one change in the setlist. Some really good recent Youtubes from Priest in Australia & Japan Sept 2008.
I dont have the links at the moment, but Try Melbourne Metal Gods 2008 & Osaka Festival Hall 2008. Im sure you will enjoy 'em.

Metal Masters = No Sinner & Death. They have to cut it short because of the 4 Bands and Noise Curfews. If you were one of the lucky ones to hear Sinner live, proly the best song weve missed. I agree get it in there Priest however you can. Here's a thought: Motorhead can cut 2 of their songs from setlist. MSyrup

PNC art center NJ, setlist cut short by 5 songs Because of Holmdels bullshit noise ordinance. Less than an hour and a half of Priest? WTF? PNC's security sucked. How could I miss most of 4 songs from the second row center? Answer! a bunch of drunken idiots trying to get to the stage that were trampling everyone in site including Me and my Wife as security is watching this happen and shrugging his shoulders as I'm telling him to do something about it. And then 4 idiots get past security and get on stage during the concert. Nothing against Priest this was out of their control , But alot against PNC art center, This was the Worst Priest show ever at PNC and I've seen them in concert Here in the past few years and had a Great time. I've seen them elsewhere and had a Great time. I've been a true fan for 32 years and have always enjoyed their concerts. I have to agree the sound was Great . The meet and greet was a cattle call at best. Don't bring a camera, we'll post the picture on our website for you, OK ,went to see my picture with the band and low and behold it's not there, Nor are alot of fans pictures who paid their good hard earned money. Would I ever pay $400.00 for a ticket with a meet and greet again? NO F--king way. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, I rate this concert at PNC a -2.

I caught the show last night at Jones Beach and what can I say that hasn't already been said here? It was amazing! I missed Testament, but I thought Motorhead and H&H sounded good. That being said, Priest blew them away! Period.
The only real drawback was the set length. Priest went onstage promptly at 9:30 and ended at 10:52. One hour and 22 minutes?? What is this, 1979?
I would also liked to have heard more from Nostradamus, but the set list was incredible! It was great hearing Devil's Child, Dissident Aggressor, and Rock Hard, Ride Free again. Plus, I thought the Painkiller tracks were a nice touch.
Amazing night with an amazing show!! |

I was in front row in front of KK, when that guy come up and bowed it was classic. The security guard in front of us was clueless! I loved that Rob shook his hand before they dragged him off. The other people were just being jerks. That's what happens when you have 4 band on the bill and people have too much time to drink. I thought Priest sounded and performed the best! Virginia concert was AWESOME...but...
I agree that the concert would be better without all the extra bands. One opening act is enough. I don't mean to disrespect the bands opening for Priest. I never got into Motorhead, but there were years where I listened to Testament and DIO (now in "Heaven and Hell") alot. I think they each have about 20 kick ass songs. But when I'm going to a Priest concert....I want to see as much Priest as I possibly can.
Loved the show, had a great time, but hopefully next time they'll just have one opening act and play a few more songs (they played 16 in Virginia, 20-22 would be better; hell, have a 30-minute intermission and do 30 songs!!).

I will be going to the Metal Masters show on August 31st and am stoked!!! I was truly hoping Sinner would make the setlist for the duration of the tour though. I think the Halford band played it when they opened for Iron Maiden a few years back but it is not the same. I don't think it was played on Angel of Retribution tour. |

Saw Priest at Nissan Pavillion, Virginia last night. Place was packed, Priest sounded great, very good concert. They played the same setlist, minus "Sinner" and "Death." They finished close to 11:00, so they probably dropped those two songs so they could finish before a noise ordinance kicked in. But they didn't start playing 'til about 9:40. Too many bands for a week night show I think.
It was worth it just for "Devil's Child" and "Rock Hard, Ride Free." Wish they played more of the forgotten classics. Halford's voice on Painkiller sounded great, he was really hitting the high notes good (his voice really sounded flawless throughout the show).
So, it was great....the sound and musicianship was very, very tight. And for 16 songs, a good, diverse setlist. |

Darth: Glad to hear it was a great, albeit shortened show. But, WTF: No SInner!!!!! I will be truly pissed if this one is left off the setlist thats for sure. This is what happens when you have 4 bands on the bill, incl. Testament, which IMO: everyone of their songs sound the same. Hope nobody got shot on the way outta of the armpit of America, Camden, NJ. the noise bylaws are insane. they gave an extension here to 11pm (normal is 10), and had bylaw cops out in the surounding neibourhoods cause during the day your only alowed to let 65 Db off your property. somewhere during the monsters of rock show it got to 68, so they got asked to turn it down a little (this is sound going out the football stadium, accross the parking lot, the road, and into a residential area. That being said, we only got 16songs from Priest (9 from H-n-H but the song Heaven And Hell itself was a 12 minute jam fest). Anyhow, here's the Priest setlist from this evening. To all those going to the Virginia show tonight, you people are in for a serious treat! Halford and the boys (especially Rob) were fucking incredible!
1. Dawn of Creation
2. Prophecy
3. Metal Gods
4. Eat Me Alive
5. Between The Hammer & The Anvil
6. Devil's Child
7. Breaking The Law
8. Hell Patrol
9. Dissident Aggressor
10. Angel
11. Hellion/Electric Eye
12. Rock Hard Ride Free - sing a-long
13. Painkillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllller!
14. Hell Bent For Leather
15. Green Manalishi
16. You Got Another Thing Comin'
If anyone wants the Heaven n' Hell setlist, let me know via PM. Sorry, but I missed Motorhead and Testament due to some good drinking - I mean tailgating.
To my bud, T.S., I hope you made it home safely bro. Alright kids, it's almost 1:30am. I need sleep. Rock Hard Ride Free!!!! |

i gotta sore neck from headbangin', no voice left.. and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Oh yeah, I got to shake Rob & Scott's hand's . . .And got Scott's sticks.
This was the ultimate concert. :)

Saw them last night in Saskatoon with my 9 year old son. They are sounding extremely tight. An awesome set list as stated before (my son wanted to hear Desert Plains). KK's shredding on The Sinner was amazing. Anybody on the fence about seeing this concert should go. You won't regret it. |

Hi All,
First time poster, long time lurker. Priest started their U.S. tour in Seattle tonight...
Two Words: Fucking Epic!
Three Words: Kept European Setlist!
Four Words: Better than Iron Maiden!
I know, I know - that last comment will probably generate some controversy. But hey, I've seen both bands plenty of times going back 20+ years and this gig was the best Priest gig I think I have ever seen (and that's a bold statement). Here's the particulars:
01. Dawn of Creation
02. Prophecy
03. Metal Gods
04. EAT ME ALIVE
05. Between the Hammer & the Anvil
06. Devil's Child
07. Breaking the Law
08. Hell Patrol
09. Death
10. DISSIDENT FUCKING AGGRESSOR
11. Angel
12. The Hellion/Electric Eye
13. Rock Hard, Ride Free
14. SINNER
15. Painkiller
----------------
16. Hell Bent for Leather
17. THE GREEN MANALISHI
18. You've Got Another Thing Coming
A dream setlist to be sure. I'll be interested to see if Priest keeps this whole set on the "Metal Masters" tour. This is a must see show - don't let it pass you by...

Remeber that these are festival shows so naturally the setlist is cropped. I would be dissapointed if when they play their headline shows in New Zealand, Australia , Japan etc they don't add another 3 or 4 songs. At a guess; Touch Of Evil, Revolution, Living after midnight, and maybe Deal with the Devil. Would assume US and Canada will miss out as well, as all those shows are essentially festiva shows with 4 bands on the bill. We'll see I guess. |

Hey Maple Syrup!! Thanx for the guidance on the forum topics.
Now onto setlist thoughts....
It is indeed a better mix then what it could have been but not as good as it could be. The addition of DA is awesome but if just once they would throw in The Rage/Steeler my concert going life would be complete. The shitty thing is they may have played this combo years ago when I was at the shows in 1980/1981 but damnit I was young and probably high on something and do not remember much. Other then rocking my ass off. |

I see Priest has added Green Manalishi to their setlist in Europe. Heard live recordingsfrom Munich & Zolle on this tour and I am a bit mixed on some of the songs they have chosen to play. If you want to get technical, No: Sad Wings, Stained Class, POE, RID, Turbo etc.... Dont get me wrong, I enjoy that Priest has mixed it up "a bit". But Rob shouldnt be hemorraging thru Painkiller & for that matter Devils Child. The Nostradamus material seemed crisp. Lets be honest though: Outside of 4-5 dusted off classics, we get the same ole, same ole setlist. Well at least they dropped LAM, Touch of Evil & the lame acoustic Diamonds & Rust.

I would expect them to play a full set In Australia, which I will get to enjoy as My wife and my mates and I will be winging-over to see it! Super bummed they're not coming to the "Land of the long white cloud", but this is our only shot. Flights to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne all cost the same from Auckland, so decisions, desicions. Just hope we don't buy our flights , tickets etc then the website pops up with, NZ date added! Keen to see any Download pics, setlists etc |

It would be nice if they add Judas Rising, Nostradamus and maybe another new song like Visions or something. Though I'm guessing they won't add any songs which have a lot of synth / symphony etc because for that you would need Don Airey or someone like that to play it live. |

No, the selist has not changed from the first several shows. However, the Download Fest should bring an extra 4-5 songs on the xtended set due to the
Kid R cancellation. Any thoughts? My guess is another NSTRDMS & a couple sort of retreads: Green Manalishi & Grinder?? Anyway I am enjoying the current setlist ! MSyrup

Won't they be playing an extended set on the Australia/Asia tour in September? They're the only real big act on that tour and should get to play a longer set there too. I thought KK or someone said they will tour through most of 2009? It would really suck if they only play a few shows where they play the entire album. I really dig this album and would really love to see a full Nostradamus show. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Scott Gavin from Saturday, June 07, 2008 4:35:33 PM) | | Scott Gavin wrote: | | Whoops!. Problem with 'package' tours is that the bands get reduced stage time. Priest will only get an hour and a half tops till the US tour is over, even less at the European festivals in some cases. So by the time they do Australia, Japan , Korea and I guess South America they will up the song number to about 21 /22. I would expect to see; Living After Midnight, Touch Of Evil, Revolution and maybe Judas Rising [natch] or Beyond the Realms Of Death added then. I would assume that they then would take a break over Christmas, and then maybe, December or January you will see four or five dedicated Nostrodamus multi-media shows, and a tie-in DVD, filmed at a venue like the Royal Albert Hall. Then that will be it for another 2 or 3 years. Although there may be the lost acoustic album that they were working on during the Angel Of Retribution tour to look forward to. |

I really thought this was gonna be the nostradomous shows. I bought tickets to two shows, but now I want one for a 3rd. This is gonna be way too ass kicking to just go to 2 shows. Since I'm a huge testament and sabbath fan as well as priest, this is definitely gonna be worth it. I don't like motorhead so I'll be using their set to load up on beer |
