That mania versus putting a band that are not remotely similar. Who you like ACDC will tell they are the best in the world, really are the block rock band, the bases of their songs all sound the same or similar, the only thing that changes are the lyrics. I opted for the Judas Priest in composition, lyrics and delivery.

Just ran another marathon and I catch this guy at the finish wearing this outfit. How cool is THAT? Two pics so you could see the sleeve.

I went and asked him where he had it made (I sincerely doubt Angus is a runner) and he just spotted my JP Cross around my neck, gave me an immediate devil's horns then high-five and we went to talking about finishing time and the like (runners are a bit out of it at the end). Never did tell me but, damn, what an outfit, eh? DAMN kewl tech-shirt! Made good time as well as he is showing his Garmin (fat watch) to his buddy over the fence in pic 2.

It's only opinion but I agree completely.
I loved Ac/Dc with Bon Scott and liked them w/ Brian Johnson until the "Fly On The Wall" album.
I liked some of that but never liked anything since.
I saw them in 78', 85', and 88' and I loved them.
I saw them in 91' and swore I wouldn't again.
So far I haven't.

Both great bands, but they have a very different sound. Priest are metal and AC/DC are more blues rock. Their roots are in the likes of Chuck Berry etc.

i think both are great bands. bon scott was an amazing frontman. judas priest is my all-time favorite band so if the question is who do i like better i say JP. but these are also two different types of music. JP is without a doubt the metal gods. ac/dc is more a classic rock n roll band. i enjoy both but prefer the heavier stuff.

ac/dc's a good rock band. PRIEST ARE METAL GODS. In my opinion there is only one band out there that might carry the torch for my kids generation......Avenged Sevenfold (they're drawn to them like I am drawn to PRIEST). AC/DC has always had two of the greats of rock vocalists. Brian Johnson and Bon Scott, Bon being the one I prefer more. Angus Young has been an inspirational guitarist a long with the rest of the band also in Rock history with hits like Highway To Hell and Back In Black.

Judas Priest has had one of the most high pitched screaming banshees in the history of metal which matches perfectly with the greatest genre in all of music. Rob Halford may be gay, but with a voice like his and a band like that at his side, nobody can destroy them. They have been renamed the Gods Of Metal and even have a clothing line that emphasizes it even more. Their screeching guitars that blow through the atmosphere of the earth with ease kills Angus with might, but Young puts up a damn good battle. Tipton is a god of guitar, as well as Downing. Ian is the bassist of all bassists and Travis... well, he can lead a double bass line like nobody else. Lets not forget his intro to Painkiller.

AC/DC does rock, but pale in comparison to the Beast that is Priest . I never actually thought of them as metal, more like hard rock...guess it depends what you consider metal in the first place. They've put out some great and memorable stuff, but personally, for me, nobody does it like JP.

I'm an old 'fanboy' and also if JP made some 'mistakes' such as Point of Entry, or Turbo, or whatever you want, but also Mozart made something stupid, but no one discuss him. He was a genious. JP are not genious, they are also musicians and for some of us are the best Heavy Metal band. For me they are the only thing remaind from my youth. I'm now 44 so everythins changed in 29 years since I listened them for the first time. I don't know why, but their music is the only one I can listen every day without saying stop. It happens for Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Mozart, Beethoven, Pogues, Jethro Tull, Dizzy Gillepsie, Pat Metheny, Nick Cave and many many others. Music is part of my life, some songs are the soundtrack of my life, as for many of us, so if for me or for Jula Priest, they are always the best is just because they give something unexpected. When I'm tired or sad or angry instead of crying or doing something against someone else I use to listen JP as much louder as possible. the problem remain, of course, but it help me to face it.

Why ? I don't know. But only with them it happens, also if I listen Evening Star, a very lame track.

Yeah I hear ya on that,I'm sure Judas Priest are better live.And the Black Ice album is really worth a listen if you like Brian Johnson era AC/DC.I would say Flick Of The Switch is better than Black Ice but not by much.Black Ice has 15 songs on it and only 4 of them blow so you still get 11 songs that are quality AC/DC...you could even throw away one more track and make it 10 songs that are quality...thats not bad out of 15 songs.Nostradamus has 22 songs and only maybe 4 songs on it are cool,so Black Ice has some great AC/DC songs on it,give it a listen someday perhaps?Maybe not. Point taken~I also agree that Nostradamus sucks. As for Black Ice I won't listen to it. I love Ac/Dc up until flick of the switch (hated them ever since).
Both of our arguments are a little off base though. The question is who do you like better live? In my opinion that's an easy one. The last time I saw
Ac/Dc live was1991 and I swore I never would again. The last time I saw Priest was over the summer and I left amazed at how good they still sounded.
Lastly my comment wasn't meant to rip you, it was meant to illustrate a point(that Ac/Dc hasn't changed in nearly 20 years and Priest always does.)

Its just that they sucked at the song writting on albums like 1984's "Fly On The Wall"...1986 "Who Made Who" 1990 "Razor's Edge"...1995 "Ballbreaker" and 2000 "Stiff Upper Lip" ...those albums are boring and dull but they should sound they same.Now alls I'm saying now is that AC/DC's 2008 album "Black Ice" is so much better than Judas Priest's 2008 album "Nostradamus" its not even close,the quality of song writting" percentage of good songs vs.bad songs on AC/DC's Black Ice album are far ahead of Nostradamus(yuk).

Priest have been my favorite band since 1981.....29 years straight but I will even say that AC/DC's 2008 album Black Ice "shits all over Priest's shitty 2008 album Nostradamus"....BIG FUCKING TIME. At least Black Ice sounds like it should of been made in 1981 right after the For Those About To Rock album.

And with 15 songs on the album at least 11 of them are classic great quality song writting AC/DC songs where as Nostradamus has 22 songs on it and only about 3 of them are any good??? Lame. Yes Judas Priest over-all are better than AC/DC but NOT LATELY...thats for sure,AC/DC gets my vote this time around.

Back in 1978 I thought AC/DC was the greatest thing going. Then in 1980 I heard Judas Priest. I'm still a Priest fan and I can't stand AC/DC anymore.

ac/dc is a great band, and old ac/cd is amazing. but honestly, priest has such a long and amazing body of work. ac/dc has been around for a long time but honestly they haven't done anything different in a long long time. throw in that priest is so much better live and i think the debates over!.....at least for me

C'mon... Ac-Dc vs. Judas Priest... While Ac-Dc is a great band, there is no comparison. Priest rules hands down. The new music is as great as the old, while ac-dc have just gotten old.They just ain't even in the same ballpark. Priest rules forever!
