I chose not to have a nick. Crista is my real name (Cristina, actually, but it had already been used). When it comes to Priest and Halford, I want to simply be myself.

"Nupe" was my nick name during junior high, and it's based on that I happen to share the same surname with a former Finnish ice hockey goaltender, whose nick name happens to be that. "Nuke" simply rhymed with "Nupe". |

All through university I had a best friend who was a huge Van Halen fan, and he and I were the only metalheads in our 4 years of classical piano studies (go figure!) I called him 5150, he caled me Metal Goddess. I deliberately spelled GODESS with one "D" for 2 reasons -
1. Every time I try to use it as an online name, it's been taken, spelled with double D's,
2. Feels less of a diminutive version of God with just a single D.
Besides, HELLRIDER and SENTINEL were already spoken for!!!!! |

Yes, many of them are. Those funded by tourism are no different from going to any other great location. The true jewels are the islands not funded by tourism. You see so many things and life is very simple. Still get to break Plates in some places! I didn't get to break a plate, but I was encouraged to break a bottle or two! With the local police right there cheering it on! Traditions don't like to be taken out. In the smaller places you find it just the way it used to be, expect ladies are allowed in the tavernas/pubs. Athens, I must admit looks disgusting when you just roll around the city for a day or two. You'll get no argument from me. But the heart of the Greeks is large, and while that place looks run down from an American standpoint, I must say that the time I spent in Greece was wonderful, I met many new friends, and while there are lunatic fringe in the country, the country and it's people are so wonderful. I dont' speak the best greek but understand it very well, and never had a problem there.
If you want a great greek experience, head to the islands or go to places inland. Eratini is a beutiful place...........Galaxidi, Naphpacktos, any of these are so beautiful.
My family's property is right outside of a growing seaside resort. All I care for is Flora, shall own a part of that house for as long as she lives and will also have an apartment in Athens. As long as she can afford the ticket, she will be enfolded by her familiy when she is there, and only need marginal money.
