Love me some Halford (with or without all caps). My favorite album from them is Crucible. For me, it's the ultimate Heavy Metal feast. Yes, I'm sure there's more heavy stuff out there, but this one is special. Not sure why.

I can't get into Halford's solo material at all. Even though his current band is supposed to be "traditional" metal, there's just something missing and it still sounds too modern. at the end he asked about the bands future plans, and rob said after this tour they would get the new album done and get richie integrated into it and get his imput. they cant do most of that without being in studio.
since that is going to take so long, and priest MIGHT (not in any way confirmed) take a short tour with the new disk rob want the halford band out there. so he approached Tim Owens about maybe doing a short tour. in about a month they are anouncing a tour. some of the dates will be sung by tim, but they are calling the band the rippers or something, not finalized yet.
Watch out, because this is coming. Rob is 99% sure that he is never doing another solo album and might pack in all the solo stuff, but for now to keep the music out there this is the idea.

Watch out, because this is coming. Rob is 99% sure that he is never doing another solo album and might pack in all the solo stuff, but for now to keep the music out there this is the idea.

I was actually thinking that very same thing!! Damn do we think alike or what? I read that KK wanted to get back into music again. What better way than to write with his old pal? Now that would bring in the fans wouldn't it? A 3 axe attack with KK, but Ripper on vocals instead of Rob.

First of all, that is one very lucky boy!!! HOLY CRAP!!! Talking to Rob for 10 minutes - what an incredible experience for him! That was so cool of Rob to do that!
Secondly, WTF?????? Tim fronting the Halford band? Rob giving up on the HALFORD band? This whole thing with Baxter must be getting really bad. They are selling everything off for CHEAP - all the DVD's, CD's and Metal God apparel. I am going to be very very sad if the Halford band is done. And all I can say is, thanks Jayne and Bill for also killing my second favorite band! Rob deserves so much better than this!

THAT is how the bass should be at a Priest show. Sorry Ian, but move out of the shadows and CRANK IT UP! We all know Ian can play, but it's turned down and you can't hear the notes like you can at a Halford show.
