I think Rob was going with the flow at that time .. The music industry was changing,, Stone temple pilots, Nirv, pearl jam.  ect... the grunge movement.

Yes I read that...  I was coming home from the city the other day, and was listening to Queen on the Radio.. I was thinking,  since this man has come and gone.. I have yet to hear anybody sing as well as he did..

Enough about Freddy, anyone else have any thoughts about Halfords midlife crisis and grunge look in the early 90s?

Did you know, he refused to have his overbit fixed as he was afraid it would mess with the resonance of his voice.

Mercury would be recognized as one of the best voices in modern music, if not the best.

Yes! Freddy was an amazingly talented singer and musician. Queen came to NZ, my mum didn't go to see them, then Freddy died and she regrets not seeing them so much.

You know who was a awesome singer  Freddy Mercury From Quenn, other than Rob Halford,, he blew everyone away in my opinion...  His voice was opera like and yes he could sing anything,,,

Seb Bachs an awesome singer as well, Skid Rows Slave To The Grind and Subhuman Race are two of the best metal albums of the 90s.

Don't get me wrong, he's the best singer in metal and that performance of DTG was ace, that grunge look was too much though, maybe that whole period was Halfords mid-life crisis period.

Have you seen when he went all grunge with Fight. Checkered shirts with the sleeves cut off, long baggy shorts, sneakers and a backwards cap, at the age of about 42, fuck it was funny. Remember him singing a duet of Delivering The Goods with Seb Bach and Skid Row dressed like that. I thought what's he doing?
