Scalping on a massive scale and TICKETS NOW are to blame.
The best seats are sold before the go on sale. Even with the AMEX front of the line right when the tickets went on sale you could not get great seats. All the best are gone before they go on sale.

Hey....I did the Amex front of the line and it sucked as usual, so you can't blame that. The best you can normally get through them are the 200s (off the the sides too) and that's what it was this time too. So I passed. Same as Marktheshark, I was in right away (actually had 3 people all trying for me too!!) and the best was mid 200s. The really strange thing is that I've checked out TicketsNow and Stub Hub as well as some local ticket "brokers" and the entire 102 section is nowhere to be found. Just a few 101s and 103s. So I'm waiting to see what happens...never seen anything like this before. Who knows maybe they will announce some sort of VIP package yet. |

So, that means that before the tickets even went on-sale to the general public, ALL of the 100 level and most of the 200 level seats were already gone! BULLSHIT!! I have a feeling that Ticketbastard now holds a lot of the really good seats for their Tickets Now website where they sell them for much higher prices which is criminal in my opinion.
Anyone else have similar problems getting good seats?
Oh well, at least we're in the first row of the 300 level which means no-one will be standing directly in front of us.
See you guys there! |

Yeah, it totally sux that AmEx has the 'Front of the Line' presales. I was able to get my friend to use her card and it was an 'early' birthday present as well. I hope there are some great seats available tomorrow though. I can't see too many peeps that have AmEx wanting to go to a Heavy Metal concert, although, I could be very wrong. |

I would still love to find a way to meet the band, but they are not selling the gold or platinum packages this year.
It would also be cool to meet up at the show for a beer, and meet some of the other members.

Sorry you don't have an AmEx.
I've also got my name in at Rock94.9 (Oshawa) to win tix to the show. They are drawing for the tix on Friday morning. Now, if I should get so lucky to WIN....then I should have a pair to give away. I'll keep you all posted.
Soy and a few others were gonna meet up last time Priest was here but I couldn't make it.....I had to work. That won't be a problem this time though. So I truly look forward to getting together with everyone here.
OOOOHHHHH, I can hardly wait for this gig. Cheers back Mark. |

Hey Alloy86,
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I don't have an American Express card so I'll have to wait until Friday to get my tickets.
We'll have to set up a meeting place at the Molson Amp. for all the board members to hang out and party.
Can't wait for July 9th!
Cheers! |

Hey radar rider,
Last year, for the Metal Masters tour they offered Platinum passes for $400.00(!) which gave you a meeting and picture with the band, pre-show party and a seat in the first 3 rows. I have to say, it was expensive, but worth every penny. I don't know if they will be doing that again this year but I figured I would do it once anyways. Glad I did as it was a great experience and something I will never forget. You could buy the gold and platinum passes through ticketmaster. I haven't heard when tickets go on-sale yet but have been checking ticketbastard to see when they post it. As soon as they post an on-sale date I'll post something here. I would hope the site would post something as well.
Cheers! |

How much did the back stage passes cost last time, or are they platinum seating and where do you get them?
Next when do the tickets go on sale?
I have seen then twice now and cant wait to see them again. I would love to meet the band, that would be too cool.
