As far as the hitting goes...I thought, going into the playoffs, that that was where the Hawks would come up short, and not just the hitting but in overall toughness...but I am pleasantly suprised in that they elevated their game to the next level...it was for that reason that I wasn't sure if they'd make it past the Flames (Calgary really was an impressive team to watch)...and Vancouver is even more impressive (their goalie is awesome!!!)...you don't really get the 'feel' of a team only playing them 1,2,3 or even 4 games a season...but over the course of a series you get to see (usually, at some point) what a particular team is all about...and hopefully in the playoffs, your team takes it to another level...
Still, there is a lot of great hockey left to be played, and I'm still hoping the Hawks make it to the Conf. finals...that was my hope before the games started...but it's been tough with lots of comebacks...but I haven't had this much fun since the early 90's...big game tonite for us, game 6...unfortunately the Hawks seem to play the last game each night, but 8pm (local) isn't too bad...

YEAH PLAYOFFS HAVE BEEN A LOT OF FUN SO FAR. HAWKS HAVE BEEN GREAT TO WATCH. I FIND MYSELF PULLING FOR THEM. BUT I HATE TO SEE THE LAST CANADIAN TEAM KNOCKED OUT. BUT I'M STILL LEANING TOWARDS THE HAWKS.
GOOD HARD HITTING GAME TONIGHT BETWEEN BOSTON AND CAROLINA.
I WOULDN'T MIND SEEING ANY OF THE REMAINING TEAMS WIN WITH THE EXECPT DETROIT. THEY HAVE WON TOO MANY TIMES IN THE RECENT PAST.

Go Hawks Go...this has turned into an unusually wonderful spring here...first that wonderful 7 game series between the Bulls and Celts and of course, the on-going Blackhawks...where they get the energy to continually come from behind in so many games is beyond me...even cats only have 9 lives...until the playoffs are over, I'm not paying any attention to Bettemen (?) or any other corporate 'thug' ...I want to focus on the great playoff hockey I see all across the board...so much for SJ and the Presidents Cup... |

I didnt see the brown hit. btw brashear got 5 for the hit, the other 1 was for a bump in the warmup, which is bogus imo.
but I am sure that the fact that hudler came back was a significant factor as was the fact that the league hates donald.

Anyone care to comment on the hits from the past few days??! Brashears gets a
6 game suspension and Brown gets NADA?!?! WTF!!! That was a crushing hit on
a guy who was in the clear. Granted he should have been more aware but he didn't
have the puck. Have to wonder if Hudler coming back in the 2nd affected the decision?

It was awesome to watch hockey live :o) Denmark of course got a beating, but the game with Canada and Hungary was FUN! 9-0 ... what could be better, ha ha , well it would be better if it had been against Russia but That a dream. THOSE WERE TWO TREMENDOUS HOCKEY GAMES LAST NIGHT. GOTTA REALLY FEEL BAD FOR THE DEVILS. SHOCKING. BUT THIS IS WHY THE STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS ARE THE GREATEST EVENT IN ALL SPORTS.

yeah, it was nice to go, great atmosphere. but it was like watching boys play against men. chicago played harder, faster and beter all around.

get the regular season games here in Cali, but all playoff games are on
VS. channel. Man is my DVR workin' overtime!! I catch all the games a day
or two late. Even if I see the news I still watch and your right, great action all around!
