I know, it is difficult to believe that over 25 years later, Randy still garners such a reverence from so many. In that trailer, I think John 5 said it best.
The guy who posted it has posted it elsewhere, but it gets removed almost immediately. Every time he posts it, they threaten to pull the plug on the whole project, but it at least results in a release date delay. Simple fact of the matter is that Peter needs to understand that Randy belongs to all of us now, and it is a posession held in the highest of regards. As soon as I know any further, I will post it... |

That particular guitar is custom all the way. I forget the builders name (JD Higgins or Riggins ?)but it is a very cool guitar. And those inlays look great. I can see his cabinets thru the stairs, always wondered where he had them? many players these days use an isolation booth or face them away from the stage and rely strickly on their monitors to hear what they are playing. very cool indeed! OK, thru multiple e-mails with EMG and multiple attempts at re- eq`ing my seetings, an actual eq (graphic or parametric) inline or a treble booster is what it will take to boost the top end of these EMG`s. Even their other models (model 60) that claim to be bright, probably will not be enough. Perhaps it`s time to go back to Seymour Duncan`s!!!
While the signal strength of the EMG`s is amazing, they are just so much darker than I am accustomed to!! |

And the notes are perfect, relative to each other. THe contrast between mode shifts, dramatic. It is as smooth as silk. I love Her. Do you have the 81, 85. combo. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guitardude from Tuesday, May 05, 2009 1:27:45 PM) | | guitardude wrote: | | K2M
Thanks, I love it!! Am having abit of a time adjusting to the EMG`s, they do sound great, but seem to lack some top end, I`m experimenting with some things to try and solve that issue. | | K2M wrote: | | Gorgeous. EMGS. Cant go wrong with the Jackson. MIne is Green. Looks like yours. |

Go to your local music store and negotiate a cash deal. Retail is much better than the MSRP!! | | Bazooka Joe wrote: | | Yeah man it was the King V KV2 brand new from the Jackson site. $2,800+. IIRC, I paid around 1500 for mine. I got it from a collector, and it still had the hang tag and original strings on it.

Well I took a look at the KV2's and did a bit of research and I guess all the parts and shit I named off WAS a KV2 hahaha. So I'll save myself a few thousand and get a KV2 I guess. There bloody nice guitars.
