Hey Nostradamus contained just about every single music outing Priest has ever done. Except like Point of Entry and Turbo haha. Plus it covered some new ground as well, as most Priest records do.
It is a VERY metal record. As for the tour dates?
I would assume its a European tour, mainly festivals in the late spring and summer.
They all talked about bringing the British Steel tour to Europe. Maybe it'll finally happy?
Maybe they'll finally do a Nostradamus show or two?!?!? :D:D |

Kory Grow of Revolver magazine recently conducted an interview with JUDAS PRIEST/HALFORD frontman Rob Halford.
Revolver: Do you find it hard to break away from JUDAS PRIEST with your solo music?
Halford: I'm lucky I got a fairly wide range of what I can do with my voice. But it still belongs to JUDAS PRIEST. My voice belongs to JUDAS PRIEST and it always will, as it should. It's like when you hear Robert Plant singing, Oh, that's the LED ZEPPELIN dude. If Bruce Dickinson did some solo work, Oh, that's the IRON MAIDEN dude. If Vince Neil did some solo work, Oh, that's the MÖTLEY CRÜE dude. There's nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to worry about. It's just an instrument, and you use it as best you can in the places that you need to.
Revolver: What did you do differently with HALFORD than with PRIEST?
Halford: I write lyrics differently, just because I can't sing about me being clean and sober for 25 years ["Twenty-Five Years"] on a PRIEST record. That would be completely wrong. And the other songs, like "We Own the Night", anything that has a really personal, intimate type of reflection, lyrically, would be out of place in another place. Besides that, I think we're just a band that has our own take on what we do with the metal we write and perform live. I think if you see us live, as hopefully you might get a chance to see when we come through, it's great man.
Revolver: Any plans with PRIEST?
Halford: Yeah, I was talking to PRIEST's management the other day. We had a chitchat about things. We're putting together some shows, we're going to be booked out extensively through 2011 and most of '12. We've got some other things poking around in the fire. And we will be disclosing those through the website. Look for that in December.

Ozzy did a good job last night also. similar set to vancouver. Halford kicked ASS!! he started at 725 with 730 printed on the tickets, was playing to about 5 people for the first song. ok, a few more, but the place looked empty. I could see QT in the front row, I had crappy seats on the side, best I could aford at the time. Rob was in good voice, all the songs sounded great, but if I never hear the line "Supersonic silver....." I would be happy. Jawbreaker sounded awesome. wish he had played longer.
Ozzy was a lot louder, and his sound was not perfect at first, but they tweeked it and it was ok. a bit of feedback ocasionaly, and WAYYY to much bass. I agree Bud, Ozzy was great this summer!! I also can't wait until December! Just wish Halford had a longer set [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Budred from Tuesday, November 16, 2010 11:25:45 AM) | | Budred wrote: | | ...then slows down.
Scream
Mr. Crowley

Suicide Solution...
...slows down???
I'm only reading three slow songs on the whole list.
If you haven't seen Ozzy lately you should like him. He appears straight and his performances
are much better for it. This summer Ozzy sounded better than he has in over a decade. Can't
wait until December!!!

Guess that's the big question, isn't it? What will they be touring next year? Maybe the rest of Judas Priest really was at work this year writing music while Rob was making Made of Metal!! If that's true, then there's a chance that JP might release a new album next year!! It's a slight chance, but you never know!! Judas Priest Tour Confirmed For 2011
terrybezer / News / 15/11/2010 15:05pm
The metal legends are to hit the road in 2011! Get full details inside!
Judas Priest’s legendary guitarist K.K. Dowling has confirmed that Judas Priest will be touring in 2011.
Speaking on his blog, the iconic axeman has said: “It seems that the time has come for us to put the touring wheels in motion for our next world tour in 2011!
“It’s funny but these days around – about this time – I can’t help but reflect on the past when we had to load the touring van ourselves. Sometimes in the ice and snow, being afraid that we would get frostbites on our fingers and not be able to play the gig!
“It was our great fortune, as time passed, to go on and tour with almost every band that you can
think of. Some tours included very cool line-ups that many people may not even be aware of: e.g.
Priest, Whitesnake & Iron Maiden / Priest, Scorpions & Def Leppard / Priest & UFO… and the
list goes on.
“People often ask me what it’s like to be on a tour and I always say the same things about it: simply
it’s the hardest thing that you will ever do, but you wouldn’t change it for the world. The travelling
becomes such a major part of your life that you actually feel like a piece of luggage yourself! But
I must confess when you get to go to places that you have never been before like Korea, Turkey,
Romania, Columbia etc. it’s no surprise that you feel like the luckiest man alive. I guess mainly
because for me – growing up as a kid – thinking of going to any of these places would have been
pure fantasy.”
Pretty much official then! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | 2011 JUDAS PRIEST WORLD TOUR!! ...please? | | Becks wrote: | | LOL I missed this question when it was originally posted - I have it! Yay! It's cheese metal at it's best, a number of the songs anyways, but me likey.
Ok guys, here's a good interview with Rob. Mostly about Made of Metal, but a couple of good points to do with Priest I will cut and paste below:
www.ultimate-guitar.com/interviews/hit_the_lights/rob_halford_godfather_of_metal__metal_god_will_be_side_by_side.html
Will you be conducting any live solo dates in 2011?
No - it's all Priest. As we're talking right now, I'll be back home from the Ozzy tour and will see Glenn and so on. We'll just get together, and we'll figure out what the plans are for next year which is primarily getting back out on the road again, Priest having had a year off.
Are there any plans for a new Judas Priest album?
I'm sure there'll be something in the not too distant future because that's what we've been doing since day one, haven't we? We're a metal band, and we write, record, and tour. We're a bit more laid back these days; there's not the rush and the contractual obligations that there used to be. When we're ready, we're ready to do something like that. As usual though, as soon as we know what we're doing, we'll let everybody know on the website. | | Bazookajoe_666 wrote: | | So how many of you have the new Halford album - Made of Metal? |

Hope you have a GREAT time HB!!!! I have to wait a few more weeks for the Cleveland, OH and Grand Rapids, MI shows in the beginning of December, but I can't freakin' wait!! I'm not crazy about Halford's setlist though..... I'd like to see him drop Fire and Ice and put in Like There's No Tomorrow. And what happened to the Crucible album? It's completely forgotten which sucks in my opinion. Maybe he'll change things by the time he hits us.... please [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Head banger from Monday, November 15, 2010 10:46:15 PM) | | Head banger wrote: | | so tomorow I go to see HALFORD and some guy named ozzy. good thing that they have the night off tonight, fresh voices for tomorow.
