About a buck and a half, I believe. I don't recall what I paid the last time I put gas in the car. As terribly embarrassing as this will sound, I do not always look at the price. I am really bad about that. The Princess gets on me all the time because I go to the grocery store and just buy things. I never look at price. Drives her nuts.

Good morning DF...out of curiosity, how much is gas in Vegas?  It's $1.79/gal. here in Indiana...

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I am not going to be drawn into some kind of weird, sexual discussion! The Princess has picked out a vehicle and I will go take care of the paperwork today or tomorrow. She wants  Nissan Ultima. Fine with me. I stay home most of the time! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, at least I did not get an SUV!!

Why would any scientist want to prove that?
[_strat_] Friday, January 09, 2009 5:22:08 PM
Well, IDK then... But I do know one thing. It has been scientificaly proven that the size of the car is in opposite relation to the size of the drivers penis. The bigger the car, the smaller the penis. And since N. Americans all have big cars... Well, the conclusion is that we have bigger dicks than you do. Case closed.

The other helpful aspect of SUVs is that they haul a lotta shit....they're the ideal family vehicles in a lotta ways, in that mothers can take their children to various activities they're involved in, their equipment, and sometimes a friend or two if they take part in a carpool team (where one mom will take a small group of say 4-5 one day,  another mom will do it another day...etc..etc...).     And with 'bulk' shopping stores like  Sam's Club or  Price Club,  the larger storage areas in the rear of some of those SUVs can hold a considerable amount of stuff without compromising how/where others are going to sit.

They are for the most part, however...not quite as fuel efficient...and when being controlled by lesser drivers,  they're twice the hazard...

Good point on the price range, although I would not get a wagon. Sedan! Nothing else!! I didn't know that about the Challenger. That sucks!! Perhaps a Charger, or is it the same story?

if the sportage is to truck like, your not an SUV guy.  if the mercedes is in the price range, they make wagons dont they, you get the practicality, with car comfort.  Audi also.  avoid dodge.  sure the chalenger looks great, but when the key goes and it takes a week to get a new one, well its a nice lawn ornament.

Well, I have no great love for SUV's. Our rental is a Sportage and, of course, the Princess just loves it. Practical and all. I could do without it, though. Just a truck in disguise as far as I am concerned and I am not a fan of trucks, either.

The Mercedes 3 Series are nice. Problem is, the Princess has her son here and I am not too keen on kids (teenagers) climbing in and out of my vehicle. I do like a few of the new "muscle" cars. I am a horsepower fan. Maybe I will go that route?
[Head banger] Friday, January 09, 2009 8:28:14 AM
probably not, since the distances are different,  north americans drive further and have less public transport options, so probably spend more on gas.  being more car reliant and spending so much time in the car makes the requirements different.

A fabulous Friday to one and all! Shuffling about this morning, stupid car on my mind! Starting to look like Ozzy the way and mutter to myself as I wander around here trying to decide what to do. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Hope all of you have a GREAT weekend. I will be "in and out", as it were.
[_strat_] Friday, January 09, 2009 7:43:24 AM

Well, that still means that you could pay half as much for gas than an average European does.
