In the States, it is traditional to pay neighborhood kids to shovel snow, mow lawns and such. It appears that we lost Ron, so I might as well ask you. Whats this with paying kids to clear the snow? Is that like a tradition or something? | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Like I said, I am not used to it. It is too cold for me, that's all. | | _strat_ wrote: | | Ah, I see. Not getting any better, eh? Well, heres hoping that you get better.
As for me, I just have a cold that I keep under control with some C-vitamin and my Iron Maiden scarf. Typycal winter, what can I say... We are getting to used to having no snow, just a lot of cold and rain. | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | HA!!!!!!!!!!!! Very nice of you, Ron! Yeah strat, a little warming would be great. It is especially hard on me when it is cold because of the hardware in my back! I have been aching like crazy for days..more than usual. The medication isn't really helping. I have my recliner by the fireplace and I am trying to sit quietly. |

You pay kids to clear the snow?!?! I cleared snow every winter since I can remember, and never got a cent for it... Your kids, or just from the neighbourhood? near Calgary, AB, canada. see this weather usualy once a year, more I think when I was a kid. I hope this is it for winter also, unfortunatly, its usualy worst in Feb. It hasn't happend in awhile, but you never forget 'em either. I live near the Windy City, so I can relate to wind chill. Sometimes we have to leave the faucets slightly on so the pipes don't freeze. Stay warm my friend and I hope this isn't what your entire winter is like!! | | Head banger wrote: | | I am suposed to get 4-8 inches of snow today its going to probably be in the minus teens F, with the windchill aproaching 40 again. | | ronhartsell wrote: | | Good morning/Day fellow Metalheads!!
It's 19F, the warmest at this hour all week with 4 inches of fresh snow waiting to be shoveled!!
1 week 'til Christmas and I still have a lot of shopping to do. Nothing puts me in the spirit faster than wrapping gifts!!
Also, who here has played 'Rock Band' or 'Guitar Hero'?? Yep, 42 yrs. old and I played 'Rock Band' the other night. Yes, I was not in my usual state when this happened, and I totally sucked (played drums). My lowest score was the first song w/68% and a high of 88%, and that was on easy. We did try Painkiller on easy and I scored a 77%. My 2 friends and I had fun though.
ps...DF, I couldn't find a 'game' thread, so I posted this here lol Edited at: Wednesday, December 17, 2008 6:59:45 AM |

I think I'd like the hook method better...like how a fighter jet lands on an aircraft carrier lol both will work, though!! I wouldn't want to have a hook hanging off the back of by belt and fall down though, that might hurt a little!!
