A wonderful afternoon to one and all from beautiful Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, Ca (THE United States of America, baby!!!) A bit cloudy here but , overall, just a gorgeous place to spend a little time!! Looking out of our hotel window now at the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge!!  There is actually a seagull sitting by my window!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Just beautiful! Hope all is well in Priestville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I hope you guys don't mind but I'm going to gush about my brother's band. Last Saturday, April 4th, my brother's old band, Nightrider, was inducted into the 2nd annual Nashua Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. They were one of the 1st hard rock bands in the area and were a staple between 1980-1985. Priest was a huge influence. For not playing together for over 20 years (well except for my 40th birthday party about 3 years ago) they sounded great. If anyone is interested check out my video's (You Got Another Thing Coming brought the house down!) My brother is the base player in the middle. His name is Robert Plante (not kidding) but we called him Bert Plante.

Its about Trust..

'Trust' indicates a depth and a sense of assurance that is based on strong but not logically-conclusive evidence, or based on the character, ability, or truth shown by someone or something over time or across situations. Trust makes for a sense of being safe or of being free of fear, enough so your focus can be on other matters because that matter is taken care of. It becomes easier to simply enjoy life. Trust breeds confidence and conviction.


No human is totally trustworthy.

No human is totally untrustworthy.

No human can always trust themselves.

No human is totally trusting of any one other person.


Trust is a risk. We leave ourselves open for loss. Betrayal of trust hurts so much because the lost sense of security multiplies the damage.

Some keys to building trust :

1. Communicate. Say accurately what you are doing, and don't assume others 'just know'. Also helpful : suggest some way they can help out.

2. Do what you've communicated. Nothing is more important to building trust than actions which match the words, non-verbal cues, and stated reasons. (I mean, actions that don't have to have 'spin' to make them seem like they match.
)
3. No scorekeeping. The game of tit-for-tat does not create a sense of trust. Quit reminding others of what they did wrong in the past. Focus on what's happening now.
4. Look in the mirror.
Are you giving other people reason to distrust you? Were you acting this same way in a past instance where you were shown unworthy of trust?

5. Repetition. Each time you act in a trustworthy manner, you earn more trust. After a while, the trust starts adding up. Be thorough about it : build trust in every matter, big or small.

6. Show trust. People who are trusted are more likely to trust. Most people actually are trustworthy in most matters most of the time. Trust them, and the trust may spread. (That doesn't mean blind trust, which is a way to become an untrustworthy person's enabler.)

Just stopping in to say Hello,  I have had a busy day.  Mr Bowie had his hair cut,, he did very well.

As to the board  I have just stopped, and refuse to participate, and indulge these people and their reckless behaivior out here..   And I stay off the board..  until things settle down.   I want nothing to do with these people. and the type of trouble they start, I have been subjected to it for far to long on this board.  and have even been blamed for it.. for whatever reason..

So hopefully people start to grow up, and realize, there are others in this world with feelings, and stop coming on the board to start trouble,  we all have a common denominater,  we all love Judas Priest...  and thats all that should matter!   Iam grateful for those that I have meet out here, there are some truley awesome special people.

For those of you that read my rant yesterday about the LP I missed out on due to the distro's failure to update their list, I got a mail today from the owner of that label and after a couple of mails he went to seek not only the LP I lost, but another of the same band!

Mind you, these are as easy to come by as the Holy Grail, since Tarot is a finnish band who never had the luck to have a decent promotion team behind them and these albums come straight from '86 and '88 from Finland! I'm like a kid waiting for Santa, eheheheh

The fact I have created the famous thread yesterday

But... It all started when he lashed out about completly normal posts, complaining that they are offensive. If we post like we used to, you can be sure that he will continue with his nonsense.

Personaly, Im putting him on my ignore list, and I hope as many others as possible will do the same. Bring his points down, if we cant do anything else.

Look, can't we just cool off and try to get this this thread back to the purpose it was originally created for- friendly conversation? I'm starting to find all the hostility and backbiting puts me off coming here, and I worry if newer people might be put off too, not knowing the place as it usually is- that would be a shame.
