Good Morning, all! A nice day here...70 mph winds last night!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spa, wonderful sentiments! The idea that it is mind that is the key intrigues me. It is so much like what I have been saying! When one understands that we are what we think, we learn such wonderful power. To be noble or "godlike" is a direct result of continued effort in right thinking. It is the effect of long-cherished association with godlike thought. By the same process, we tear ourselves down and create a bestial, ignoble character through groveling thought.

So many people look to some supernatural explanation or power for their life, future, condition or destiny, never realizing the answer lies within, not in the sky or in some all-powerful deity. In fact, just as you said, we are Creators! It is true. Of all the beautiful truths pertaining to the soul which have been brought to light in this age, none is more gladdening or fruitful of divine promise and confidence than this:  Man is the Master of Thought, the Molder of Character and the Maker and Shaper of Condition, Environment and Destiny.

Good morning/day my Metal friends

[joedraper] Wednesday, September 30, 2009 3:29:25 AM
lol I'm so used to having a bigger dog that I automatically bath him in the bath tub. Last night I figured that he's small enough to just do him in the sink.. Much easier to clean up afterwards and he had the option of bathing in one sink and rinsing off in the other. I think he kind of liked it lol.

Also when I give him his anti-biotics he takes them like I'm giving him a treat. He's so funny sometimes.

I should post some recent pics of him in the pets thread sometime soon.

Awww poor doggy! I know what you mean, it sucks cos you can't explain to them that sometimes in order to get better they're going to hurt or feel a bit yucky first. Hopefully your doggy gets better soon!

Feck! Speaking of the little doggy, I better have a cup of coffee for motivation and then give him his anti-biotic.. He's got a  nast skin infection from a flea bite, he must have picked one or two up from his walks and I never saw it on him but he's got to take the pills, have his back dosed with rubbing alcohol (surgical spirits?) and then have special ointment put on it. I feel so sorry for him. He got new special shampoo last night to help too so hopefully in a few days he'll be back to his perky self.

I just hate the idea of hurting him but it is to make him better. I must say this though, he's very good when it comes to the whole routine, he wimpers a bit but never tried to run away or anything.. still I feel so bad with him hurting like that.

I was reading they've had a high number of fatalities,I guess it couldn't really be prevented. Still sucks when things like this happen.

I've got these cool new pads now that you can put on your drums so that it sort of mutes them a bit.. Also I got those jazzy type sticks , the brushes? and I tied an elastic band on the end so they mute even more and I can play at night now wihout upsetting my neighbours.. not that they've had the balls to come over and complain yet lol. It helps out for when I'm trying to play along to a track, I don't have to blast it and deafen myself while I'm trying to learn a new track lol.
You have a facebook page? You can find me under Joe Draper (my pic is the one with me the little girl and the little doggy lol.

Spa, have you ever read any books by Neal Donald Walsh? His series is Conversations With God.. I have read two and his message is exactly that.. We are all God-like beings. Created in equality. We are here to create, not to learn, obey and beg for forgiveness (what the heck would free will mean if we had to beg all the time?)

Anyways, I think  if you haven't already gotten your mits on these books try hunt them down. I have a feeling you'll love and understand the message really well.

Morning Becks (evening time for you by now lol)

I hope that you and all your family are safe with the tsunami.. I must admit, when I hear of natural disasters such as these I do tend to get very nervous for those who are in the direct firing line.
Hmm.. I've had a wee break from drumming too, I've just been so busy with kids etc and had to take a short break but today is the day I pick my sticks up again.. I can feel it in my blood lol.

I never believed in Matea, untill today. Although I've been reading a work of fiction, which at times I've been disappointed in as I had "figured it out" before the big reveal.
This next entry is something I find very interesting. Do with it what you will:
Our minds were Created in the image of God. This is the great gift, and God is waiting for us to understand it. Alll around the world, we are gazing skyward, waiting for God.... never realizing that God is waiting on Us. We see ourselves as helpless sheep buffeted around by the God who made us. We kneel like frightened children, begging for help, for forgiveness, for good luck. But once we realize that we are truely created in the Creator's image, we will start to understand that we , too, must be Creators. When we understand this fact, the doors will burst wide open for human potential.

Just a late night thought from a bookworm. One I find as refreshing as what DF said a few weeks ago. Enlightenment.

What's this???? An earthquake? Me thinks I need to go check the news!

Ahhh yep, top story on our main news site, apparently a 1 metre high tsunami is due to hit later today. There's estimated 'arrival' times on this site too, it's due to hit it's first place in about half an hour. Hopefully it is only 1 metre high! Civil defence has mobilised, and nearly all of my family lives in land, so they'll be fine.

I am well, my dear! Thank you. Sunday has always been my favorite day of the week, especially when I was still working. I love Sundays!  I have a full slate of sports to watch and usually do something special for dinner. I have a nice pork loin and some fresh vegetables ready for the crock pot!! Should be tasty!

The new "project" is not really so much a project as an actual act.  Johnn and I (Hells Salvation project) joined an established act and we are currently  writing and doing all the things you do in preparation for an album and live show. All very exciting and time consuming but....well, I have A LOT of time!  HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we have something worth hearing, I will let you know!

How are you my good friend? Well, our Sunday is just about complete, drifting into the evening here in deepest, darkest Africa lol.

This is a wonderful time of year! It's been a tad on the cold side today but weather never gets me down, I'm usually just so sickeningly happy to be alive lol.
Today, I'm learning how to microwave food and for it to still come out sort of edible lol.

What's the new project going to be Freeze?

Other than squeezing in German with my Math and Weather classes, I've taken a history class, a horticulture class, geology classes and a couple of literature classes. Doing lit. papers are a weakness of mine, but I strive to improve...kinda.

Ahh cool. Linguistics should be interesting. Ah I miss uni sometimes LOL! I had so much fun. I was a nerd though, science major here haha. With the occasional arts paper thrown in, romantic literature (romantic period, not mills and boon lol), design and stuff like that.

Actually, yes. I'm taking a linguistics class just to see what the heck it is that linguists do (and learn). Only had one class so far, so it's too early to judge.

Not much, except I have homework to finish (DAMN IT!!). Yesterday I went to an arts and crafts fair and made a cool clay sculpture. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Yup.

He looks harmless at the moment....but if he tries to attack, we can do what Odysseus did: we can get him drunk, wait for him to pass out, and then poke him in the eye with a hot stick. After that, we make a run for it!
