Forget the marathon. I'll give you a 1/2 mile head start on a short track just to make it fun....you've never seen me sprint!

Vail, saddly you don't stand a chance against Guid unless you get to peddle while he runs.

Go to the web site that made your computer, type in the make and model and search for the sound driver for your computer.
Install it, restart and if it works, you just saved yourself some cash. That happens alot when you have computers worked on to loose a driver. So try that before anything else.

It looks like a movie any old timer here might be able to recognize. There was a scene where a drunk soldier was playing strip poker with a woman who was taller than him. It was a pretty funny scene.

Watched Red Dawn ( 1984 ) the other day. It's about a bunch of high school kids who hide out in the hills and wage guerilla warfare on the Cubans ( i think ) who have invaded the US and taken over. Stars Patrick Swayze, C Thomas Howell and Charlie Sheen. Classic stuff. Does anyone know what happend to C Thomas Howell? He hasn't been in anything for ages?

"Gran Torino" - Clint Eastwood.

Rented and watched it last night. Two big thumbs up!

Thanks --I do like the old b/w movies---back then they didn't show a lot of stuff so you had to use your imagination as to waht was going on--nothing like today where you actually see people getting *killed *
Will check it out -thanks Buddy !!

The new Star Trek and Terminator I, II. There are way to many movies I dislike to mention!!!!
[ron h] Sunday, June 21, 2009 5:19:13 AM
Oh no.  This movie came out in the late 50's.  This doll maker would take humans and shrink them down to doll size and copy them.  He would let them out of their canisters to dance to a record player he would set up for them.  Kind'a creepy!!!  You ought to check it out if you don't mind B/W movies...   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by pip from Sunday, June 21, 2009 1:42:36 AM)

or something like that---LMAO every time I see it !!

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny you would mention reunions! She just went to her semi-annual Family reunion! I was (thankfully) spared the torture of going along! I love her family, I really do but I am just NOT the "rich guy" type. They are not like normal people and I do not mean that in a bad way. They just do not think like we do. They are ...different. Strange. Hard to explain but I really would rather stay home and watch TV.

HAAAAHHAHAHHAA!!! You know, my elbows are fine thank you! That is just not what I am into at all. She loves that kind of thing. Reads all the magazines, keeps up on all the stars. I guess it is a harmless hobby. Quite frankly, I get my fill of "rich people" when I am dragged to one of her family's get togethers. *ugh* Really not my kind of crowd!

Ah! Well, she came in but I did not ask about the movie itself. I suppose she will tell me today. I am pretty sure she went more for the people than the movie! I assume there were stars hanging about but, as I said, it is not my thing so I don't know.

The Princess and a couple friends went to a "premier" last night at the Palms here in Vegas. I believe it was for a new movie starring Sarah Bullock? I cannot say but it was supposedly quite a "to do". They had special guest passes and whatnot. Definitely NOT my "cup of tea".
