About a year ago I found this article online that talked about the actual letter PETA sent to Judas Priest management asking the band to wear artificial leather, a.k.a Pleather. Genius, ain't it?

In August of 2002, PETA sent the bands management a letter requesting they stop wearing leather on-stage.  It was also reported that they wanted them to change the name of one of their albums to something else.  What was the album and what did PETA want them to change the title to??

Yiihiiii....No coffee maker or water cooker for me! But can you help me sort one thing out?

The difference between dist and overdrive? Its realy the same thing right but different types, dist the more modern sound? But, the overdrivepedal is that one used simply to not destroy your amp? (crank it up and make it dist by it self but also destroys the amp) Do you get what I mean?

Bingo!!  Correct, Kristina!!  100 Points.
What do you need??
A new coffee maker  or a water cooker??

DigiTech XTD "Tone Driver" Overdrive.

The XMM "Metal Master" Heavy Metal Distortion
isn't an Overdrive!!

[spapad] Friday, March 06, 2009 8:50:56 PM
I concede to your newer information. I've also heard him say he acted in a couple blue movies but didn't enjoy them very much, but that quote was many years ago and if I'm not mistaken it came from the SFV Tour book, but I can't be sure, so I shouldn't site the ref.
Michael, you are Correct!

In fact, the porn shop clerk experience came into play again recently as Rob was given a cameo as a Santa Monica, California porn shop clerk in the film SPUN:

"When I had my audition, [director Jonas Akerlund] said, 'As soon as I saw this bit about the porno clerk, I thought of you.' And I said, 'That's crazy, because before I joined Priest, I actually was a porno clerk.' When I told him, he practically fell off his chair!
"When we were shooting the scene on location in the porno shop, Mickey actually told me that he worked at this same shop in his early acting career. I was like, 'Is this fate? Is this destiny?' "
- Rob Halford

[spapad] Friday, March 06, 2009 8:43:16 PM
Now quoting from the one and only Official JP Biography from 84. "I read an advertisment in the local papaer for a job at the Grand Theather in Wolverhampton and was lucky enough to get it. I worked as an apprentice lighting desingner and did some amateur acting, and although I was only there for a couple of years, that when the real desire to actually perform on stage came into being."
I realize the story has changed over the years, but this is what I have before me.

Here's what it says in the Metal Works booklet. :

"Well, we recorded [the marching] at Titenhurst Park, and the sound is actually someone banging a tray of cutlery on the kitchen table!"-Glenn (heehee...)

And if that's what it is, then DC already said it...   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Wednesday, March 04, 2009 10:07:09 PM)

Going to bed. I let the second half of the question still stand. What is the second sound contributing to the march of the "Metal Gods"?
