I love to eat it with regular bread. I'm a novice cook, so anything I make comes out more or less okay. I haven't burned anything just yet. That is a shame, Necro. It really is. Although, I cannot say I am too surprised...I mean, they are not very British, now are they? |

...Hebrew National..."no if's, and's or butt's"......Nathans makes really good 100% pure beef Hot Dogs as well as Vienna...Vienna is also in the line of origins of the Hot Dog as well as Germany...yes, flavors vary greatly by region, absolutely... I actually remember something about them originally being called hot links but I could be wrong. I do know that I absolutely love them. Always have. I buy the Hebrew National brand because they are bigger and meatier than cheap ones. I really love them and you are SO right about the hotdogs at the ballpark. I have no idea why but there is nothing like them. Nothing. I also saw somewhere that they are made differently depending on what part of the country in which they are being sold. different seasonings.

ok...here's the scoop...frankfurters were created in Germany...however, they were made out of pork only...in 1870, Charles Feltman, a German immigrant, sold sausages in rolls on Coney Island...in 1880, Antonoine Feuchtnanger, also a German immigrant, sold 'hot dogs' in 'buns' ...customers would walk away with the 'white gloves' she would let them use to hold the hot dog with as they were too hot...and that was her response to that...
