Actually, the story the guy told me had to do with an exhibition they were going to called Welten Koopler or something like that? Sort of like the one we in the states call "Bodies".

I have something rather unique that is making me quite happy now. Since I really have no other place to say this, I will do so here...;
Most of you are aware of the tremendous success I had with a recent collaboration song over on AcidPlanet. The gentleman I worked with over there is a "heavy weight" on that site, apparently. Anyway, the song (Drive Home) was so well received and stayed at number ONE for SEVEN straight days, that I was contacted by TWO other bands to do similar projects!! I just finished writing and recording a song with a band that is in GERMANY!!!! (That's right, Michael!! HA!!) They are called "Wildering Sheep". They do more "Alternative/Progessive" Rock but they do have some heavier material.
Anyway, as is usually the case, I received a song file and was asked to write a melody and lyrics for it, which I did. I finished the recording yesterday and sent it off to the guy that is doing the production. The song is a bit of a departure for me, as it is not really straight forward "Rock". Has more of an Alternative feel to it. The guy that wrote it sent me an e-mail telling me about how he wrote the song after a break-up with a young lady on their way to an exhibit in a town in Germany called "Welten". Naturally, the song is called Welten and I wrote a sort of "break-up" tune for it.
When it is completed, I will let you all know. It is SO very exciting to work with other musicians, especially those from other countries! I am starting today on the second song. This is with another group based here in the States. It will be a much more "Rock and Roll" song with a heavier sound. All very cool and just SO much fun!!!

You probably mean "Körperwelten" which means "Bodyworlds" in English. It's a traveling exhibition of preserved human bodies and body parts, organized by a German scientist. It's very controversial.

That is AWESOME!!! Deep Freeze the session musician!
That is a great idea, I also think bands should set up CD's with bonus of the opening bands also [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Monday, December 21, 2009 4:03:17 PM) | | jimmyjames wrote: | | Went to see Pearl Jam in Christchurch a few weeks ago and today my cd from the show arrived. Pearl Jam record every show so people can either buy a cd or download the show they were at. Great idea and more bands should do it I think. Listening to it now, sounds awesome. |
