OK..so this is REALLY PISSING me off......  Television COMMERCIALS that imitate a "breaking news" story!!!!! AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

Not sure about your area but here they are absolutely out of control. The biggest offenders here are car dealers and mortgage lawyers. They have some fake news anchor with that stupid picture-graphic behind them of whatever and then they "go" to the "field reporter" who proceeds to sell whatever garbage they are pushing and try to make it look like a newscast!!

I swear to GOD I am about to put something right through the friggin screen everytime I see one of these!!!...which is currently at LEAST once every twenty minutes!!! LAME! LAME! LAME!!!  OH.....to have the power of immediate death!!!  GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, returning to old crazy drivers....

[_strat_] Tuesday, July 07, 2009 6:03:11 AM

Really? Well, another stereotype, I guess... Tho by statistics I saw somewhere, you have a lot less deaths in traffic, at least compared to us...

The one place I was really surprised was Germany. Really, so disciplined you couldnt believe it. Three lane highway, and you had it all worked out: the slow drivers on the far right lane, the normal ones in the middle, and the really fast ones on the left lane (really fast ones - Germany doesnt have a speed limit on the highways, so they go 150km/h and more). Or parking. Wrong parking in Munich? Havent seen it. The Police? Havent seen any of them either. Yet all seems to be working.

I havent noticed that, although some places are beter than others.  Here, I swear drivers licences come out of a box of crackerjacks.  LA I thought had good drivers, Toronto was hit and miss.  mostly its highway driving here, which if you cant manage to stay on one bloody road with no stops, well you roll the car in the ditch, die, and hopefully produce no offspring to pass on your sorry skills to.

Really? Over here, thats the monopoly of cars with Driving school markings... Although, there are pensioners who do that too. Usualy the ones that drive an ancient Yugo, that hasnt seen the inside of a car mechanics workshop for at least ten years, and probably hasnt been properly registered for twice that long... And they drive maybe once or twice a year anyway...

But add some alcohol (always easy here) and they turn into Mad Max.

IDK, but I heard that North America has a very good driving discipline? Or are the pensioners the only anomaly?

at least your pensioners know where the gas pedal is.  here they go 30 in a 100 zone, and stop at red lights, green lights, stop signs and merge signs.

Sarcasm? O yeah, Im sooo, sarcastic...

Anyway... I actualy pity the future generations... Demographics, the population is getting older... By the time I retire, young people will have to deal with at least twice as many pensioners as we do today...  Lol... Cant wait...

Oh, and I havent even started on old people driving yet... "Speed limits? Red lights? Stop signs? No, no, no... They are not rules. They are guidelines. Besides, I worked for thirty years, and no youngster will go around telling me that I shouldnt drive 100km/h through a dense urban area... At rush hour... Through red lights... Drunk..."

Ok... Pensioners piss me off... On the other hand, I cant wait to be one. Heres what I will do when I retire, based on my observations:

1. Annoy people by pretending I am deaf.

2. Not bathe for a week, then take the bus at rush hours.

3. When I am in a bank or a post office, I will make sure that I have a long talk with the clerk about the weather, but only if there is a very long line behind me.

4. I will go to a supermarket, buy a ton of stuff, go to the 5 products max line, and argue for at least half an hour if they try to turn me down.

5. Cross the street at red, and show obscene gestures at anyone that would dare to say anything to me.

6. Annoy young people by saying how in my days, we respected old people, even tho thats the mother of all lies.

There... Now, its 50 years to go, and counting...

Damn shame someone calls themselves a rock band and don`t solo, luckily they are becoming rare.True talent seems to be edging it`s way back to the forefront of music.

Here's something that pisses me off: Kings of Leon. What a poor excuse for a rock band. They seem to be all the rage and everyone listens to them. They're everywhere and it's annoying. They're all over the place these days. I actually took the time to listen to a few of their songs. This stuff is filled with bad riffing and there's no lead guitar, led alone guitar solos. They're crap!

Hi ya Becks! I'm so sorry that you didn't get the job . But KEEP ON TRYING!! My husband had the exact same problem when he got out of college. Not enough experience to get the jobs he wanted for over 5 years and had to take crappy jobs to get us through. Then one day, all the crappy jobs and things he had been through got rolled up into 1 nice and neat little package and made him the perfect candidate for the job he has now - which is in fact, his dream job. If only we knew what was coming, we wouldn't have been so upset by all the rejections. Now, of course, we are VERY glad that it all happened the way it did.

Have faith. Believe me, I KNOW that it is hard. But something good is coming your way! You just have to BELIEVE and keep on trying and not let it get you down.
