I can't afford to do that. I'm still picking up whatever extra hours I can. As is Lisa. In fact tomorrow she's going in a half hour early to open the store. It'll be her first day running the shift without our store manager there. He'll be in to relieve her around 3 p.m., but then I'll be off to work as soon as she gets home. I'm the closing delivery driver tomorrow night, and Lisa will be asleep by time I get home at 1a.m. I'm not getting any time with her on days like that. It is getting rough. I miss her alot when it happens that way.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Wednesday, August 27, 2008 12:17:47 AM)

It was the same thing for me when I first got my job. I usually wouldn't get home until 11:00 P.M. (PST), so I would spend most of the night reading the day's posts. I was missing the Board alot the first few days, since I would be the only one still posting at 12:00 A.M. the next day. Now its not too busy, so I can leave from work earlier than usual.

On a more serious note...I thought I'd actually have more time to come on here to spend with you all, but Megan, housework, and spending what time I can with Lisa, and Jason when I'm not at work, keeps me pretty busy. I do miss everyone alot, and being here this little is an adjustment. For one...I'm always a few hundred posts behind whenever I do get time to check out the posts.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Wednesday, August 27, 2008 12:07:51 AM)

Lynyrd Skynyrd's song "That smell" comes to mind.

Sorry, I'm not used to the lack of sleep since Lisa got the job, and I'm just in an over-tired silly mood.

Yes, I know all about it. Lisa manages to pump some for me to feed her each day before she leaves. It looks more painful than when Megan is actually feeding. Of course mine would be artificial, and filled with the milk she pumped.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Tuesday, August 26, 2008 11:54:54 PM)

Sounds adorable. Just pray you're not the one holding him when it's a smile caused by gas.

Artificial lactating man boobies would help immensely!

I've been good, thanks. Working, and taking care of Megan when I'm at home, and Lisa's at work. It's all working out pretty good so far. Megan's slow to adjust to Lisa being gone, but it seems better each day.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Tuesday, August 26, 2008 11:44:25 PM)

Thanks for telling me Joe! Wow 3C would be a heat wave for the middle of winter in the Mountains of VA. But thanks to global warming, or whatever it is, we have not had a blizzard in 15 years. When you let the dog out and they jump of the porch and disappear in the snow and you have to rescue them that's some deep snow! The averaged Temp for the entire year is only 68F so those winter temps kill what is usually a very pleasant 80 to 90 F summer.
Like to hear about other places.

Ha ha ha ha ha that must've been so cool to see. Sounds like everybody had a fantastic time.

Spa: It gets pretty cold around now. It's supposed to be heading toward spring but we've got our last snowfall due this week. It gets nowhere near as bad as your part of the globe I'm sure but we get down to about -3C where I am but that is not everynight, that's in the worst of winters. .. more about 5 or 7C but we've been warming up to 17C and we've had a few warm days so far. Inland is a totally different  story. I know it sounds crazy to be getting those temps in Africa but Cape, Boemfontein, Johannesburg etc do get very cold.

I live in the Cape so we have a mediterranean climate here.
