Once again, not aware that he was dead. Seems to be a theme with me these days.

Ok, why wasn't director John Hughes mentioned last year when the Oscars did their little "in memorium" segment? No Farrah either? Granted, the latter is easier to explain (although she DID do movies too) but no John Hughes? He spoke to my younger angst! Unfair!

Maybe we can have a "Ferris; Planes, Trains, Autos; Breakfast Club; Home Alone; Great Outdoors; Vacation, etc" - fest in his honor. Died in 2009.
Once again, not aware that he was dead. Seems to be a theme with me these days.

Boohoohooo....the Sony Walkman is going out of production.
I, too, will never forget how many times I had to use a pen to rewind a cassette tape thanks to that infernal device. www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11618899

I saw that today. Death really does come in threes. Waiting for the last one to drop. TV speaking, we have one of America's Moms, and now one of America's Dad's will the next be one of America's son's follow, or daughter? Despite her most popular role (which I loved), she will also be forever known as "the lady that spoke jive" in the first Airplane movie. RIP to a great woman.
