hmmm..minus 7 - not so cold, overcast...but sometimes sun is shining and i feel good
on the pevious week was full xtreme - minus 30 (at nights) and 25 (in the morning and afternoon)

| Saturday it was above 50F here. Sunday 20's. Monday close to 30, tuesday mid 40's, today zeroF and snowing.
that light effect is from ice crystals in the air. you can also see sundogs (sort of ghost suns that are paralell to the sun on either side of it)
we had snow rollers here once. the melt, freeze, snow, wind combo we get a lot, but only seen them once, so they are quite rare.

It collects snow and looks like rolled padding or thick white blanket. Some are real small, some pretty big. Some say they are like snow tumbleweeds. I'll post a few pics.

That's really cool! Never heard of that sort of phenomenon before. "Snowrollers". Although I think I like "polar vortex" better.

Thats how the beginings of snow men looked like before you start to round them. Don't see any foot prints so I guess the wind did that. Odd.........never seen that before, or if I have I'm sure I assumed it was just where some kid was trying to build a snowman.
