I believe that Judas Priest will rise again! Robert Halford will be over the top as long as the music loud (Priest lyrics) they will be realized a new album, a show or whatever, I´m sure. Rob Halford said everything it´s possible! I don´t lose my believing on this big production “Nostradamus”, new topics and a new fantastic album. We are all hopefully waiting for it, because I´m a believer!
Its typical fan BS. We love to build things up, tear them down, and build them back up again. Frankly it is annoying, annoying, annoying!!! but that's how it works.
Judas Priest will fall back for a bit. Those of us that have been buying Priest products since the early days in the 70's and 80's have seen the rise and fall and dang near death before. I for one enjoyed the days of underdog status. Anyone here remember those days????? Made Priest hungry and innovative.
Will It will return???
ps The heavy metal world needs judas priest to push the envelope of metal innovation once again. Good luck to them.

I think Rob Halford hasn´t so much power and energy on stage like in the 80´s. It´s belongs to his age, he isn´t be the youngest person and getting older. He said his songs must fits to his voice now. But it has nothing to do, if he was divorced from Judas Priest. Now he has completely other styles as in the 80´s. But there´s an advantage, he discover his soft side as well, the ballads like “Angel” and the other ballads, are very beautiful, also in the 80´s they are wrote lovely ballads. I don´t like only ballads, I like the hard songs as well and I will appreciate that if the band produced a new, hard album, but it would be boring if they do every time the same kind of music.
He doesn´t wants to sing about love (he pronounced the word “love” so sweet in the interview on you tube, on the documentary film about James Vance 4/6) but now he does, more in his solo projects. I´m sure that he produced hard songs again but the soft songs are also a part from him.
You don´t need to alcohol to listen the full album Nostradamus, to listen this kind of music it´s drug enough, it´s making me feel high all the time.
It´s depended on the management, they will be more know that I know, but if there are enough fans for it, everything its possible and it´s got to be happened. It depends on you. I´m an interviewer and I´m interested in different meanings. I worked in a Cd-shop, so I´m also interested about music. This is my contribution.
20 years, I was only an Ozzy Osbourne Fan, I bought all about him, but Rob Halford has a little bit more class.
Long time I´ve listen only the compilations, but one time I bought some stuff of CD´s and DVD´s, I´ve watched the interviews and videos on you tube, especially the double Disc “Screaming for vengeance” and the DVD “Electric Eye” changed my live life, I can´t get enough. Now I´m starting to collect all of him. When I was watching the DVD, when Rob appears on stage, I was really touched because his charm, his voice, his screams, his power, his energy, his nature, his self –confident, the passion, the way he moves, the way he sings, the way he talks, his smile, the way he looks, his outfit, everything! I enjoy it, it was fascinated, I can´t describe this feelings, only a real fan can understand this. There´s anybody who feels the same?
I think I have to be born earlier. I love the 80´s. I would like to have a time machine to puts me back in the 70´s and 80´s to a Judas Priest concert or festival. At that time I was too young to being there. I put all my attention and devotion to Judas Priest, because I love this band so much!
I´m sure that Judas Priest will have a new album for us and it will be a positive surprise, like the other perfect albums.
Would have been so kind of the Nostradamus to have made computer software that tells us when Rob's' birthday was. I have installed much software in my time. But there's always the voice behind me that says Nostradamus wouldn't have done it like that. Like he wouldn't install software like I would. Who agrees with that? Wouldn't Nostradamus love software? Wouldn't he own google or facebook? I think Nostradamus would have liked facebookooooookooooooooooooooowweeee. I think Nostradamus would ask people "what's your facebook?'''' yeah, they could, but the problem is (aside from the major problem that they are not touring again ever) that the cost of a major production to do it right wont be suported by small halls. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by zomby from Sunday, March 10, 2013 4:13:28 AM)

Not everyone is into metal operas. I was excited when I found out Priest were working on Nostradamus with all these instrument samples/sounds ect... but it turned out I didn't like the actual song writting/songs themselvs.(Maybe 2 tracks are cool here for me) Had it been Sad Wings Of Destiny they just had written for the first time for example with quality ballads inbetween the main tracks that only last a minute/a minute and a half...it would be more tollerable and makes for a more pleasant listen in my opinion.
With Nostradamus they have too many tracks that are soft slow ballads(at least 5 tracks) that last over 4 minutes..some 5 and its much too overkill....this along with the song quality is why I don't like the album, but beauty is definately in the eye of the beholder.
Since we are in the metal-opera subject thread......The only metal-opera that I like(love actually) and the BEST METAL-OPERA ALBUM TO EVER BE RECORDED is VIRGIN STEELE "THE HOUSE OF ATREUS ACT 1" and "THE HOUSE OF ATREUS ACT 2".
Both these LPs are nothing short of incredible, but ACT 1 is the album that just can't be beat, not even by the artist themselves.
Hummmm Guido and Budred.....you guys seem to listen to various styles of metal/rock...this album ACT1 I would definately challenge you guys to listen to. 22 tracks....there are only 2 tracks I do not like...song # 15(Child Of Desolation) and track # 21 (Gate Of Kings) they rest of the 20 tracks are masterpieces of excellent songwritting and muscicianship.
David Defeis(vocalist) plays the piano/keyboards himself and is a genious on this album. The ballads and instrumentals are all under 2 minutes...1:40 something on most...but the point is they do not last 5 minutes. These 20 tracks are brilliant. The concept is about the destruction of Troy in Greece over 3,000 years ago....the lyrics are also some of the most interesting I have ever read as well.

there is no point in me wanting them to put out a number one album. its never going to happen. they dont have enough fans, heck no metal bands do these days I think. I just dont see them being able to tour an album that only a small percentage of fans like as a huge show. I cant see this being in their top 10 selling albums, let alone number one?
I didnt like the few clips I heard, bought it because I hoped it would be beter (remember revolution was not loved, AOR I personaly loved, and revolution was the single released before it came out. judging an album based on some clips is like judging a book by its cover. The wall is a legendary album. how many coppies sold? probably 100 times more than sold of nost. frankly priest doesnt sell out today, touring stuff that lots of people like. touring an album for the elite fan??? thats not going to go well. seeing them possibly playing large clubs or small theaters with that, how will that pay for the massive production that this would need?
[Brian_Evans] Saturday, March 09, 2013 11:06:08 AM
It's not about sophistication, it's about swagger, that's what most fans want ...Painkiller,British Steel, SFV, Defenders....all these have the metal swagger they need to get back.
