It just sucks that we got nearly a foot of snow last week followed by 4 more a few days later.
The last time we got this much snow when it melted we got flooded. The river is already high
so it's not looking good. |

Ah, no. I am from the north and we don't get snow here every year. When we don't, I really miss it. Thus, the yearly ski-trips.
Worse thing here is driving as most don't know how to drive on snow. While I do, the real danger comes from others on the road. Interesting how relative things can be...what is absolutely nothing in terms of accumulation in the north brings the south to a screeching halt. |

So I light a fire! Takes care of any snow-filled anything!
The skurfer to which I refer is a snow skurfer. Basically, it is a sled you stand upon. It has a rope tied to the front of the board. Looks like a pointy skateboard with a rope tied to the front. I am thinking of taking it down the roof of my A-frame. Wish me luck. Nothing but rain and more rain here in the desert. I have to admit, I am thankful there is NO snow in our forecast!! Big night tonight!!...The club where we played a couple weeks ago is having their "grand opening"...I will be amongst the "invited" guests, although we will not be playing tonight. Our guitar player is in Laughlin. 8 to 12 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon. 3 or 4 inches already. Had some idiot blow by me on
the highway. a few miles up the road I got to watch him do a 360. Had to laugh as I drove by while he
was trying to get his car going again. |
