I made a trip today to the specialist record stores in downtown with a good friend of mine and managed to find two used Priest vinyls: Priest...Live! and Rocka Rolla. Even better, they're almost as original as they can get; Live is the original 1987 Holland/European issue, and Rocka Rolla is the 1978 US reissue by Visa Records - a good find in Finland, especially. Both cost me 15 euros each, which is pretty cheap if you ask me. Rocka Rolla has some slight distortion in it, but for a 33-year-old LP it sounds great (not to mention the actual music of course). I've so far listened to the side 1 of the Live album and it sounds perfect. There were of course the Back In Black re-issues for sale as well, but I prefer getting them as originals because I can always listen to the Remasters on CD. Overall these two second-hand LPs have been some of the best 30 euros I've ever spent on records.
In the same store there were also Accept's Balls to the Wall (not sure of the issue), Scorpions' Breakout (Spanish issue with Spanish song titles...) and Uriah Heep's Very 'eavy, Very 'umble (Bronze Records re-issue, not sure of they year) and a helluva lot of other hard rock/metal vinyls, but sadly I had to leave them to the shelf until I get more cash (they're probably gone by then)... Cheers Guid, I bought a couple of things for $21US shipping. Unfortunately I won't be able to buy from the Priest shop often if that is the normal shipping price. Actually Becks, your lucky it didn't go up another 15.00. Like a year or so ago when Bravo had a massive T-shirt sale. Yeah, the shirts were priced to sell but the shipping was five bucks per shirt no matter how many you bought! They made up their sale money in shipping. lol Of course when the shirts came in, they didn't show up in 6 different boxes, nope, just two. Total shipping cost to the company was around six bucks for the two boxes. Well, the nearby department store had a clearance sale, where one could pick any three CDs, movies, or games three for the price of two, with the cheapest one of the three items given free of charge. So, I picked two CDs and a video game. The other one of the CDs was Demolition, which is quite a rare find in a non-specialist store (there was also Metal Works '73-'93 there, but with my current budget, I can't afford purchasing albums where all of the songs I already have on the other Priest albums). In addition, it was the cheapest one of the three products I chose, so I got it for free. Although I personally don't like that album very much, at least I got it for free! |

I do not like the Turbo album,I also hate the 1987 "Priest Live" album (yuk!), I do have the Ram It Down cd because I like half of it (Ram It Down, Heavy Metal, Come And Get It, Hard As Iron, Blood Red Skies and the other songs blow!) I don't like the Demolition album,Live In London either and I don't like the Nostradamus album.
I'm not too keen on the latest live album "A Touch Of Evil Live" either and to me its pointless buying the "best of" Judas Priest ect........ so I'm still waiting for something from Priest that I'll buy.........same with Halford, maybe I'll like the next one this time next year if its out,I'm still glad most of you enjoy it though.

The shirt I could cut up in sections for rags to wash the car with, and the Halford 4 cd I could use as a drink coaster and throw in the Winter Songs cd and I will give it to a weirdo down town on Capital Hill and we wouldn't want to know what he would do with it HAHA!! (lol!)
Seriously, the Angel Of Retribution cd was my last Priest purchase. Here is what I have on cd and they are just the regular cds:
Rocka Rolla
Sad Wings Of Destiny
Sin After Sin
Stained Class
Hell Bent For Leather
Unleashed In The East
British Steel
Point Of Entry
Screaming For Vengeance
Defenders Of The Faith
Ram It Down
Painkiller
Jugulator
Meltdown 98'
Angel Of Retribution
