| LOL! Thanks Bev. I WISH I looked as good as that model in the pics from the 70s and 80s! It's always fun. Robert Smith from The Cure was there as well as Kid Rock. | If it was not for priest & Sabbath the birth of metal would not have been...You can knock any of judas Priest members if you want but out of respect all should give thanks & hatts off to there creation of killer music that still is being played today.I've seen priest shows since the early 80's and they still rock the f-in roof off..And I have been a percussionist since the 80's to know good music..Yeah sure there are always going to be someone out there to degrade a killer musician.. |

| I have never heard any credible account of him singing oprea,however in his pre priest days he did work in theater and im sure his pipes would have enabled him to excel at opera. Halford has always been a dramatic performer and in fact one of his very favorite singers is FRANK SINATRA who halford does a good impression of. also,my earliest memories of halford back in the early 80s,is how in interviews he always spoke of metal in eloquent and dignified terms. like a true ambassador,he regarded metal as a high art form. while other rockers were talking about how many jack daniels bottles they could insert into a groupie, halford was saying things like"i like to take metal to every country on earth". as a kid,that always struck a chord with me,his dedication to heavy metal. |
