Nope, it doesn't. The order of the day for work will be long johns, long sleeve shirts, and then finally that ultra thin piece of material they call scrubs in the medical field. LOL  I was also told that we are to get rid of all AC strips in all parts of the building. Where am I going to plug my portable heater in now! Yikes! I'll have frost bite on by feet without it!

Well August is almost over with and I am glad!!!! I HATE June,July and August....the 3 hottest months of the year for Seattle and we get tons of humidity so its

not a dry heat whatsoever...its not muggy  all of the summer but  most of the time... 80% of the time its humid. September starts cooling down and the humidity
 
goes away.   September through May...9 months out iof the year I love Seattle weather!!!  Thats why September is my favorite month...it starts to cool down...

....I get my vacation every September and NFL football regular season starts....!!!! You can't beat it!!!

Despite all the negativity, maybe we can all just try to inject a bit of positivity?

For the most part, most of us get along and know how to conduct ourselves. Lets not let the bad overshadow the good huh? Sounds like a good idea to me.

Spring is nearly upon us in Africa so any day now the cold is going to leave for good and I'll be free from this fecking flu virus lol. It seems to have slammed our household big time. On a positive note, this is the sickest I"ve been all winter which is a great improvement on last winter! Something must be working lol.

I hope everyone has a great day and finds some special enjoyment just to enjoy for yourselves

Steve, while it may be that you are what initiated Murrays comments ,  Bev makes a great point. It is about a bigger picture here and the conduct we as a membership display. Yes there are those that are usually the cause but WE respond. Ignore features notwithstanding. I still have faith in this Board and those that are regular members. Bev, don't take this on personally. You are no more guilty than any one of us. We as regulars have a responsibility to Murray, the Band and one another. that is how I see it.

I come here everyday, just about.  Think I"ll continue to do so.   But that's my choice.   I read other boards too.  This is just the kind of hobby I enjoy.  I've also come to know a couple of the "actor" off-stage - lol

Anyway, the tour was incredible!  I saw a fantastic show in San Antonio and then again the next night here in Corpus Christi.  Still don't know how the guys could play with all the humidity and heat!  I'm sure I would have dropped the axe on my foot!!!  But that's why they're the Gods, and I'm a fan!

Well, I don't get to come here day in and day out like a few years ago. I come here once or twice a year to check my favorite band, hang around for a while and then shake my head for yet another sad episode of Noticeboard melodrama by the same actors. The very same. A repeat of the previous year and the year before that.
Now that the tour is over, I don't see the point of hanging around except to catch up on what went on while the tour was in full force.

Well now, I have not posted in a while but I have been lurking. I have to admit, I am more than a little sad at what I have read this morning. Murray actually feels the need to come here and say that??? Sad, indeed.

I have been here for years and yet I am not the "longest" surviving member. I have engaged in silliness, acted inappropriately and even been fool enough to battle with morons (perceived or otherwise) during my tenure but I do not recall a time where Murray actually had to remind everyone that the rules of even the most basic decency still apply. Funny but, we really get away with a lot around here and it is astonishing that we have allowed ourselves (yes, I said we) to degenerate to such a level that the webmaster himself feels he needs to step in and act.

I am not sure exactly what transpired and, in all honesty, I do not need to know. The result is all that matters. Good friends gone. Good members leaving. More idiots coming and chaos reigning. And through it all, a small group continues to try, so desperately, to keep this place alive and healthy. Lord knows I have tried...and tried..and TRIED. I just cannot get my old mind around this. Perhaps some more time away? I don't know. I love my friends here. I even have a certain fondness for those that are not so friendly to me. All part of what makes us a family. I still believe that.  I do. We are family. A family in turmoil to be sure.

Showers?(lol!) I'm not laughing at you for asking...I'm thinking to myself how these people are down there...but no there are no showers...and yeah I have to go home like that...

I don't have to shovel shot every day....only once in a long while...when I am doing my normal job every day I still get filthy working with the shot and the oxide(sand blast)...I still

sand blast but I am back in shot peen...I sand balst when there is not much work in shot peen...but I do other odd ball jobs for my supervisor..ect..... I've worked at my company

for almost 20 years now....when the original owners sold the place to their sons...it kinda went down hill from there(nothing to do with the economy here)....I may bitch about

my job and all...(because I need to or it will get locked up inside)...but I never forget how lucky I really am to still have it...make no mistake about that!! I am glad to be still working!!!

Yeah becks...it can be hard work...if I was to do that every day...but when everything is smooth.....I don't get as dirty....but the days that I don't get that filthy I am still sweating my butt off

because I pump out so much more work than most...its in my blood..I am a hustler and a quick worker...I am a production worker...I get paid by the hour so I will get the same amout of

money if I do 3 jobs a day or 30....I always do as many as I can which is more than 85% of the otherworkers there...I can't help it...the more I do the faster time rolls on down there!!! LOL!

Most drummers I knew just played by ear. I suppose when you reach the point of being able to hear and duplicate you are on the verge of creating your own sound! Good luck with it!
