I'd scratch the gate-keeper's belly and he/she would have trouble getting me in the gates. You know they never grow tired of such treatment! HAAA!

Amen my friend! Let the gates of heaven be garded by the Canine, as there will be many who will not make it. To be judged  by an animal who naturally knows no hate, is to be judged by purity. If you fail to pass the gait, you must me an ass. LOL

No "thanks" are necessary and I haven't really even mentioned it because I think it is just doing what is right. As you could imagine, here in rural TN, many do NOT treat animals well. I'd say "most" but don't mean to condescend (although it really SEEMS so). I have had idiots throw puppies out of moving trucks while I am walking my dogs and they barely slow down. 20MPH? I had my next door neighbor threaten to shoot (with a pistol, mind you) a dog I was feeding because it was some sort of "threat."

When I say "humane society" that is not really true. It is two sisters who own a big farm and are also sick of this sort of attitude. They have taken in hundreds if not thousands of animals and need both physical as well as economic help.

Nina, my rat terrier, had a previous owner that kept her in a freakin' cat carrier all day, FFS!! Of course, all are good "church goin' Baptists" but don't get me started there.

My only hope is that the gates of Heaven are held by an animal....

I would do the same thing. Bella, my last Cattledog had a short life. She was epileptic and would have cluster seizures but I tried the best I could missed work due to being up all night with her, got her on Meds but they were not enough. She died just two months short of her third birthday, as she went into seizures even valium could not stop. I cried like crazy over her. My face was supper swollen from crying over her. I still had to go to work the next day. She was a beauty. She was a star! A shooting star too soon to burn out.

Yeah animals rock!  I have a 12 year old cat that looks like a  "wolf"  named "Oscar"!!   My old roommate abandoned him at 3 months old...

so I took him in and later on ,he developed "asthma"....I've been pilling him for years on prednisone(spelling?) to help with his asthma...

and from being on the pills...since November of 2008...he developed "diabetes" from being on steriods(predisone)...so I have to give him

a insulin injection once every 12 hours....it sounds like a pain in the ass but really its just another quick step at medicating him since he

already has to take the pills anyways....he has a total quality of life..if you saw him you would never know he was sick from this......

so thats why I haven't   "put him down"....he still is kickin it so I am his "servant" lol!!!  He takes his lumps very well for an animal that

is this heavy medicated.......and this cat eats like a "dog" no doubt.....many have said he could easily out eat a small dog!!! LOL!!

I think anyone should save an animal whenever possible. My little (getting fat) Lucy is a rescue dog. She was  emaiciated when I got her, now, she bordering on "pig" because I hate to see her hungry for a second. Now I have to adjust my attitude.
As for shot peening, I'm sure you will find many worthy. LOL

Oh KEWL! Looks like I showed up at the right time!

Great news about the job, J.D. I'll start thinking up some evil we can do with that sucker ASAP!
(oh, and btw....I donate regularly to both our local humane society as well as to the one in Michigan where I got my two rescue birds. I've easily placed a hundred animals over the years and actually HELP in the cleaning and care of animals at our local rescue place. Plus, I am nice! HAAAAA!!!). Now then, back to the peening.... :)
[spapad] Sunday, August 23, 2009 7:26:47 PM
HA!! I'll leave that to Guid and his own imagination! Too funny!

On the flip side......I am now "back in Shot Peen"...I know Guido will be happy for me as I may be able to Peen somebody for him!!!!!!    lol!!!
Yes I am out of "prison" as I call "sandblast"...but my supervisor wants me in sandblast because of how much "work" I do compared to the others...
But she was out-voted by the company owner!!!! He wants me in Shot Peen so I knda go back and forth depending on the work load.....

I should be in Shot Peen at least 3 days out of 5 a week .....last week I was in Shot Peen the entire week ...the time flys by so fast its unreal in there!!
Once the economy picks back up enough,I will be in Shot Peen permanately like I was...so I'm crossing my fingers!!!!!!

Soylent and I do not get along and probably NEVER will...I am NOT trying to  "make friends"  with him........I was just giving credit where credit is due...............
I am not trying to get a response post from him either, actually I would prefer not a post at all... That is all, nothing more. We can now pick back up our weapons.

Yes, J.D. what he did is great, but he doesn't associate with people he has written off. He has a very narrow mind of "friends".

Even though we do NOT get along Soylent...and I'm sure our arguments are far from over....and even though I'll probably get slammed against the wall for this but
let me put our differences aside for a moment and let me just say that what you've done here with the animal shelter...is 100% totally AWSOME.
