AAARRRRGGGHH! Apparently, no one understands my sarcasm!
My comments were directed at the gentlemen who feel their glorious "victory" over the forces of evil has been somehow diminished by the fact that a few more members are taking credit for getting involved in the "battle" we previously experienced.

I want to be the first one to applaud these fine men for doing what they believe no one else could or would do in the timeframe they felt was acceptable. Apparently , they have an exclusive on perceived heroics and do not care for those that attempt to usurp their legacy by "patting themselves on the back" while they "toiled endlessly" on the field of honor, barraging their enemy with a relentless battery of profanities. Such bravery! Such fortitude!

Truth be told, the only person that actually DID anything to help our dear Susan was MURRAY. HE is the one that dealt with that cretin and removed him from our Board. All of this other nonsense merely fed the fire, as it were. BUT, I do not want to be accused of stealing the glory and honor these two, brave individuals most surely have earned with their heroic actions.

Incredibly interesting. If I am to understand VOM correctly, he feels that he and Phantom did all the dirty work and "everyone" else simply patted themselves on the back?? Ah! I see. Well, I can only speak for myself and I saw someone that was using this Board as a peronal vendetta forum so I addressed it.  I readily admit that I did not ask him why he was doing it, since it was irrelevant. I did receive a couple PMs from Susan so does that qualify me for any prizes???

I was never interested, nor am I now, in receiving some kind of credit or accolades for the effort of others. There is no need for me to know "the whole story" as it was of little consequence to me. My concern remains with this Board and its membership. If one of our members is being attacked, there are MANY members that will stand up and say something about it. That is what we do here. We are family.

I will make a personal apology to anyone who feels as though I stepped in "at the end" and tried to grab some perceived "glory". Further, I will defer any and all  of said glory (and all awards which surely will follow) to those that feel they are the true "heroes" in all of this. I do not wish to take that moment from them. Well done, gentlemen.

First and foremost I would like to tell Deep Freeze that the reason I threw myself at the mercy of my friends is because of just that, you all are my friends and I did not want anyone to feel disrespected or be embarrassed by my actions.  I did not want people to feel that if I was on the Board, then they needed to stay away out of fear that I'd be causing trouble, especially the ones that don't know me yet.

There have been good people leave this Board because of stuff like this, and they have as much of a right to be here as I do.  It's a lot like getting a penalty for fighting in football, the ref doesn't always see who or what started it,  just the person firing back.  Both are wrong when there are other options available!!!

And yes, I would leave if it meant others would stay, and that is what I needed to know from all of you.

On THAT note, I would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all of my friends who shared their thoughts with me.  

I also thank the 'old timers', even though some of us haven't got around to becoming friends yet, I see you all over this Board and in due time we'll be friends.  Thanks for not using your influence and 'kicking me to the curb' so to speak!!!

Yep--Deep Freeze-my parents raised me to say please & thank you --help out anyone less fortunate -be a good listener --etc --too many things to mention  --I was glad I listened because I have made many great friends over the years --heck even the nursing home I work in -when the residents are able to go home they ask me for my address & tell me I'm 1 of a kind --I haven't figured out if they mean that as a compliment or not but I'm hoping they like me !! It appears that we are finally experiencing a period of relative calm. I am grateful. I know there will be days like yesterday. I understand all that. I sincerely hope that, if I ever find myself being barraged with insults by some lunatic, you all are as kind and stalwart in your defense of me!!!

I have noticed an interesting phenomenon here of late. I like to refer to it as the "I will leave forever if you want" Syndrome. Why is it that so many of our members are choosing to sacrifice their membership here and leave when something drastic occurs?? Does our membership and relationship mean so little that we are willing give it up, or is it a demonstration of "supreme" sacrifice??? Either way, I find it disturbing.

We all know that there are trouble makers and idiots in the world. Sometimes, they manage to find their way here and disrupt our harmony. Quite often, one or more of us (myself included) act out in a way that may be a bit out of character. We may say something we do not really mean. All of this is normal, human behavior. I just do not see why some of us feel we must end our membership to show our contrition??

We make mistakes. All of us. Please take a moment to consider the value of your membership here and what you mean to the others before offering yourself as some kind of human sacrifice! Each and every one of us are special. We are family. You cannot just walk out on your family. ( And NO Ron!! I am not singling you out specifically!!! HA!!!!!!!)

Oh, Ron. You have absolutely NO blame for trying to reach out to someone who is clearly beyond reason. In fact, you should be commended for your efforts.  I think we all try to reach out and welcome new fans to our community but, as we have all learned, some are just to self-involved to LET themselves become part of our community. Ron, May I say  a few words...  

We have all had our squabbles, with someone.. and in a moment of anger, we have all said some terrible things that we wish looking back on we hadnt.   I have argued with some also.. and looking back I thought.. Great Now I have stooped to thier level.. But When we see someone really hurting others in a way that is not exceptable.. wether on this board or not.. It is our human nature to come to thier defense.. Esp out here.. We all have developed relationships with one another that are all special in thier own way..      I hope you stay.   I think it takes a bigger person to come out and admitt thier wrong doings.  I even apoligized to a fellow A while back in regards to bickering,  the flying V post guy.     anyone remember him???  I thought It would be better of me to do so, because I wanted to walk away feeling at least I tried..   Which I will say you have to.... 

Thus is why I call them here My Heavy Metal Family...   And I hope you stay and become a part of it!!!!  and I mean it.

Sure they can call us loser for communicating on a web site.. But I work from home.. I have computer on all day.. 
I enjoy the thoughtfullness of all my metal family.. I love to laugh.. and they make me laugh.. It gives me a good feeling inside .. Which is why Iam here.. Plus I love the Band... 

So stay, no -one has to leave .. and I feel there is no reason for people to be judged.. And that goes out to everyone.
We have lost good people out here because of others medeling.. and its about time we stand UNITED!  I agree with FREEZE.. he has been here a long time.. and is a good natured and decent man..

Hi Everyone!!!

I'd like to take a moment of your time to let y'all know that what everyone has said here is true and correct.  I should have done all of that (hit the 'ignore' and 'abuse' options) instead of trying to reason with him.  What this post is about is to tell all of you that I'm sorry for my end of it.  Once I realized there was no reasoning with him, I should have walked away.

I don't want to be known on this Board as a trouble maker, and I rarely use foul language (more for the benefit of our younger friends) and try to respect everyone , even if we happen to disagree on something.  

If this is the general view of my presence here, I will sadly walk away if my doing so will make this place a better place to be.  

I have met many wonderful people here, and a few I already have as friends away from this site, and for that alone I am truly blessed.

Again, I feel terrible about the last couple of days and I want it all to be over with and get back to having fun and making new friends.  I will leave this choice you!!

I sincerely hope he does not decide to simply shut down the Board! He has considered this in the past as a direct result of this kind of nonsense and, quite frankly, I would not blame him. And to speak to a lady/woman... To speak to any fellow human being in that mannor and to show your "ugly side" with some of the posts made is just so awful. I'm new in this forum - I joined in February - but didn't have much time (or better - no time at all) to post here. The upcoming tour got me very excited plus the fact that I bought all the Re-Mastered CDs and the fact that I am enjoying the book Heavy Metal Painkillers at the moment.

I love Judas Priest that's why I'm here - I guess a lot of you share the same feelings.
 
I always think of Metal as something special - a way of life actually - and where ever I've been to you always seem to get a hearty welcome being a metalhead. Of course there will always be a couple of people trying to destroy our community. I'm the lead poster in the official Manowar forum and we have to deal with trolls and infidels every once in a while, too. And yes, we do deal with them - they are killed with power - so to say... Thanks to that forum I can truly say that I have gained friends from all over the world (had Manowarriors from Kansas City, Madison WI., Quebec City and Moscow staying at my house this summer before we hit the road for the Magic Circle Festival!) and now I'm here looking for great Priest fans to meet someday and to talk and discuss my second (sorry) favorite band!.

When I logged in today and had to read a lot of non-relevant posts I didn't actually know if I was in the right place.

But reading that last post (and other posts from users who related to mine) has truly encouraged me to stay here!

You know, we have had an interesting morning. I feel terrible for Murray and what he is going to find when he gets online. It is absolutely appalling that grown adults act in a manner such as we witnessed earlier. Someone even reminded me that these cretins have children! Can you imagine what kind of child a person like that raises??? Ugh.

This place is a public forum. I understand that. I accept it. As such, isn't  there a level of decorum we should expect in the behavior of the people that post? I do not expect the younger set to follow this rule but, lately, the younger members of this Board have demonstrated FAR more manners and dignity than some of the adults!!!!!!

We have endured trouble makers and mentally deficients here in the past. I do believe we will again, someday. Murray does an excellent job weeding out the vermin and keeping them out but, as was also mentioned to me earlier, until the trouble makers themselves get tired of it and just go away, there is not much we can do to stop them. They will continue to post here, searching for the attention they cannot earn in the real world. These are the despised. The low-lifes. The diseased- of- mind that permeate our society, insidiously infecting us with their vitriol and spewing out offspring that continue their legacy of gutless, misguided bile.

I hope that all of the regular members will remember that we are united. We are a family. No one idiot can change that. In times of strife, we come together, as family should. We hold to our belief that we are one and we will not be broken by the babbling of an un-educated, spineless Neanderthal or three.

"Things" are wonderful , Darth! As good as they have ever been. The Princess and I are happy and relatively healthy. Of course, there is the pain but we have learned to deal with it. We have a smaller, easier home and life is good. We are leaving in a few weeks to come to your end of the world and make music wuth MM. The holidays are upon us and, this year at least, I am excited to be a part of them!
