Come on Facebook people. What happened? Someone poke someone else in a new JP garden or something?

Anyone else noticed that a lot of new members have joined both here (much more than usually, and most of them are posting) and on the Facebook page (at least a thousand more!) today?

Edit: most of the "new" members actually seem to be older ones who have only now gone active.

Hey Budred, re-read those response`s about the gay fellows posts, we never said he can`t, just recomended he do that in a more appropriate place. As the band makes no money from "hooking" people up.
As for the rest,  don`t care.

Chat & opinions are our right...if someone objects = there's a block button - places like this are for chat etc, not disagreeing...idc who's of what gender/lifestyle...the point is we all have a common interest...simple

This is "our" site and that is why we ALL are entitiled to our opinion.  Just because your opinion does not jive with someones elses, ........so. We still have the right to say what ever we please, just like you.

Did you ever notice how some people like to tell people what they should or shouldn't post. How they criticize everything they disagree with.
Tell a gay guy he can't post asking for another guy for an encounter. Tell someone not to post in a remembrance thread unless this person just died.
Tell someone they shouldn't post personal pics or at least too many of them. Tell people not to interject themselves into a post. Tell people not to post
on certain subjects. Then it's like "this isn't the place" for such a thing. Well folks, there are no such rules. This site is about anything, anyone
chooses
to post about
. Yeah it's a music site but if music was the only thing to be discussed then music discussions would be the only ones allowed. Some
people really need to realize that their way of thinking isn't everyone else's way of thinking. That they are not going to agree with everything. I've disagreed
with many posts here and sometimes posted about it but other than once with Jimmy I've never attacked the person. It seems as though some people
believe this to be "their" site when it's "our" site. I'm not here to make people angry but if my posts cause that because you think differently then tough.
Use the ignore button. I'll go away. Agree or disagree, peace!

Oh, the Bridgestone one (was THAT what they were selling? LOL) with the guy yanking out the wires / slamming phones was just great. Prolly my fav for humor. Couldn't beat that Detroit one just because of the iconic shots of things around the city. Loved it and especially loved the message. Anyone who talks shit about Detroit has never spent much time there. Not with a local, at least.
[spapad] Monday, February 07, 2011 8:48:46 PM
The beetle was pretty cute, I'm a sucker for animals in general. I loved the look in the Beaver's face in yet another Bridgestone commercial. lol
I place the Detroit commercial as the most classy commercial of the game by far.

That Detroit commercial was very emotional (for me anyway). They did a great job with it. Oh, I also liked the Volkswagon Beetle commercial - I HATE bugs but that little beetle racing through the forest floor made me smile!

That Bridgestone one was very funny! Everyone's nightmare isn't it? Oh, you only sent it to me..... good thing huh? HAAAAAHAHA!

I watched most of the commercials today on the computer, and they really were not as good as they have been in years past. A couple of good ones, and the rest just kinda sucked.

My favorite was: Bridgestone,  the guy at the office who thought he had sent an inappropriate email out to everyone on his reply all list, and it showed him going around attacking and ruining everyone's computers! I loved that one, the Doritos one, and the Vader kid. I thought of both you and Guid when I saw the Detroit commerical, it was pretty cool.

The NFL is good(especially playoffs)till you get to the Super Bowl which is over hyped, full of stupid commercials and lame halftime. And it always has to be played in perfect weather conditions instead of playoff type conditions where you never know what the weather might bring in.

I saw parts of the half time show on the news here (NFL is a non sport here pretty much, and I personally loathe the sport, sorry NFL fans lol) - it looked atrocious and Fergie sounded shocking!

[guidogodoy] Sunday, February 06, 2011 10:58:55 PM
Oh, that Fergie bit was just miserable. I am of the opinion that she can't sing at ALL, much less trying to imitate Axl. As per my earlier question, was it worse than Christina forgetting the words to the Star Spangled Banner? I think so. At least Ms. Aguilera confused everyone by all those vocal runs she was doing. It was hard to follow along as it was, much less catch that she flubbed the fourth line. As someone commented on FREEP online, just lose the celebs and get a damn HS choir to sing the song. We now start with the Declaration of Independence, America the Beautiful and the Anthem. Give me a break. Still, Fergie "singing" while hanging on Slash who is wearing a damn lighted top-hat? Trumps 'em all.

Now the commercials were something else. Lots of cars and movies, eh? I was just thinking...how many products do I actually remember? Ummm...Doritos. I just realized that I even messed up the Detroit commercial in my comment below. It was Chrysler, not Chevy. LOL! Nice commercial and lots of cool factor for me but I just wonder how many new cars they will sell because of it. Ah, gave Eminem some more $ at least.

Oh yeah. I liked the Darth Vader one as well.

Yeah, someday when the LIONS are in the Superbowl....... BWAAAAHAHAHAHA!!! Hey, you never know. Maybe my great-great-great grandkids can see that happen one day!I liked all the commercials you mentioned too, but this years just weren't as funny as years before....  I LOVED the little boy as Darth Vader commercial because it reminded me of my sons trying to use "the force" on everything.
And Fergie attempting to sing like Axl was just an absolute joke, blaaaaahhhhh   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, February 06, 2011 9:24:47 PM)

Yeah, I am not complaining. Never had a dog in the fight, really. Maybe someday when the Lions....bwahaahaaaa!! Oh who am I kidding!

They did have some great commercials, though! I liked the Chevy one in Detroit (of course). For funny, I liked a bunch. Chimps blocking the guy in his car, House throwing his cane at the kid a la Mean Joe Green. Also glad to see that the Ozzy / Bieber one wasn't as horrible as it could have been. Not GOOD, by any means but something I can forget which is good enough.

While I'm no football fan, I was hoping for the Green Bay Packers to win, which they did,  and solely based on the fact that I never liked Pittsburgh since the old days, and the fact that they have ENOUGH super bowl rings to their name, I was happy with the results.

Has anyone else had problems with Judas Priest videos on YouTube? At least in here, most of the videos on the official Judas Priest YouTube channel are blocked (only the teasers/trailers are viewable), and the Judas Priest Vevo channel has "Love Bites" and "Freewheel Burning" blocked, although the other music videos can still be viewed (for now, at least).

Yeah, you are certainly a big guy. Not just in weight but in height. Like you said, though, you really can't compare to those who are so big that they can barely move. Sadly, such people are exceedingly common around here.

Good luck on that diet. I still think that fitting into the Priest shirt for a concert to be great motivation!

Well, it depends on who's speaking, but I'm about 1,9 meters tall (around 6' 3" in American measurements), and currently weigh in about 150kg (330 lbs), so there's still plenty to get rid of. Some doctors could even call me obese, but I personally hate the term as it reminds me of the 300kg tanks who can barely move at all, which I see in the TV documents every once in a while. Years of excessive computer usage have certainly left their mark, let alone the stuff I've put down my mouth. But I finally got tired of always being the fat guy.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Monday, January 31, 2011 12:23:55 PM)

Coming from (one of?) the most overweight nations in the world, I'd be curious to know what someone from Finland considers "overweight." I often go to the store and find all the electric carts are out on the floor because people are so large that they can't walk.

Good luck on that diet. Great goal - fit in a SFV shirt. We can call it the Priest diet and set a new trend. No longer will it be the açai berry.
[Nupe The Ripper] Monday, January 31, 2011 9:37:43 AM
Nah, couldn't find a better topic for this, and felt that starting a new one wasn't necessary either.

I'm currently in the process of losing some weight so that I can wear the Priest t-shirt I've got when they hit Finland perhaps for the final time in June. The shirt looks like this:

I tried it on me on the 8th Jan, and I certainly didn't like what I saw. So I started a healthier diet, not only because of the shirt but because I didn't feel good about being so overweight. I haven't been on the scale for a couple of days but the last time I checked I had shed almost four kilos - and that's only from the start of this month, so it's good I guess. The shirt already fits much better, although it's still a little tight. Good thing I have time up until June to finish this project, and the current results are certainly promising.

EDIT: just noticed how nicely the two pictures of the shirt line up, although that definitely wasn't my purpose!
