There was n-o-thing in the back catalog or in the air - seemingly - that promised such a leap, slashing everyone else on the field and creating such a masterpiece - awesome

Thanks to you too, Guido
Yes, you were right: I switched to Firefox and got both the paragraph change and typo options. Great ! So now I can start emoting too
My smear, two posts ago, was due to my missing the paragraph thingy ... but it looks like my new friends made their way thru. Thanks
Now I hope that I don't start losing friends by admitting that I really dig
NP Trivium: Shogun
Fabulous album, if ya can take some growl; lotta melody and excitement, and challenging lyrics.
I don't really enjoy their first two albums, but somewhere between Ascendancy and Shogun they got it right

Nicky, just got a point as a hearty welcome from me as well.
Second is that I run a Mac lab. Word of warning, you REALLY have to tweak the settings to get Safari to play nice with the smileys here. You won't even be able to see them with a standard install if you are using that browser. I am beginning to sound like a broken record here but switch to Firefox (www.firefox.com). No need to uninstall Safari but the Smileys will pop right up with Firefox. /Guido [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Nicky007 from Sunday, December 20, 2009 4:38:13 AM)

I wrote that "the rock scene in Denmark is pretty miserable", but we actually have some fine metal groups here - not Priest and Dream Theater class, but promising - like
NP (Now Playing) Anubis Gate: Purification
Actually quite close to Priest in style.
It's just sad that these excellent Danish groups are never played in the media, which is filled with the aforementioned and Idol-crap - fun for kids, but insufferable for us rock veterans.
Edit: OK, I got the trick of using the "Standard version". Now I just have to find the typographic options and smileys on my fiancee's Mac. OK, on-topic: I'm listening to, whilst I'm burning, a "Starters Kit For Prog" that I'm making as a Christmas present for my friends. And guess what: There are three tracks from Nostradamus on it: Sands Of Time, Pestilence And Plague, and Lost Love.

I would also like to welcome you Niki. I think we, or at least I, have been remiss in our responsibilities as "regulars" to make sure that newcomers know they are very welcome here and encouraged to stay and contribute.
While no system is "perfect" or "fool proof", I believe Murray (webmaster) has done what he can to at least slow-up those that would come here strictly to cause trouble. And there are many. Conversely, there are many very good people here. Friends. If there is anything I can encourage you as a newbie to do, it would be to make friends. That is what is most important, in my mind. That is why most of the regulars are here and why we have stayed over the years regardless of the idiots that seek to breakdown what they cannot ever really have. Friends.
You will find that there are some great people here and you may even be lucky enough, some day, to actually meet a few of us..maybe even attend a Priest show together, as so many of us have done these past couple years. Heck, you may even make some Priest music together. We have done that as well!!!!

Hi Nicky007, welcome to the board! Click on the information tab and then the link that says All new members read this first. It explains the respect points. You are restricted to the new members topics for the first month and then you will be allowed to post in all topics after that. It's a way to keep the bad apples away (or at least slow them down). I hope you enjoy your time here! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Nicky007 from Friday, December 18, 2009 11:51:16 AM)

You need at least 50 Respect Points, and you just need to post, make friends, and stay out of trouble. It's supposed to help hinder any potential troublemakers. Don't worry, man. Before you know it, you'll be able to post anywhere.
And while not the biggest fan of Lost Love, I do enjoy giving all of Nostra a spin before going to bed every once in a while. It's like watching a late-night movie. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Nicky007 from Friday, December 18, 2009 11:51:16 AM)

BWAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If that is how it strikes you, I am fine with it! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I discovered sometime ago that trying to explain the "meaning" of a song is an exercise in futility, not to mention somewhat overbearing. I mean, we all understand that songs mean something different to each listener. And you are right, JJ! There is "Metal" or any kind of music, in all things around us. Songs are written about some very odd subjects and yet, when someone hears it, they interpret it far differently than the writer.
Drive Home can be about anything you want it to be, as long as it touches you in some way. Same with Walk Alone and I Rise. I would never presume to try to define the meaning of the songs for others, even though I wrote them. Everyone interprets them their own way.
And Joe, you are (as always) too kind and so very supportive. Apparently , you are raising some fine children as well.....HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you , my dear!
So it's a song about what you do every day when you finish work? Metal is awesome, you can find metal in even the most mundane of activities.

The "band" that did the Priest stuff is Faithful Defenders. We are all (or were all) members of this site that got together a few years ago and recorded a CD.
My new band is not planning any tours. I am FAR too old for that (and of marginal talent at best) !!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really do appreciate your excitement and all, though. It is very nice of you. You are more than welcome to listen anytime. Hi Joe! I've not very good....been very down lately :(
I tried to find a way of doing it, but I couldn't. But a friend on youtube who knows what she's been doing was going to phone youtube, and mention it. But her fiancee phoned the FBI, who said they were going to alert youtube, so there's no need for her to do it. Apparently she's done this to other people, and she also said stuff to me about killing jews, and all kinds of mad stuff like that. Ive been told if she sends me any more vile messages, they'll be spotted because she is now being tracked. She is a complete lunatic!
Aww thanx!....I miss you too! I just haven't felt up to going into chat recently. I'll try and pop in again soon though. :)

Hiya Angelic!!! Wow long time since I saw you here my friend! How are you??
Isn't there anyway that you can report the cyber bullying? It does suck that you have to consider closing your channel because of some low life bully. When you going to come visit us in chat again? We miss you there! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Angelic Storm from Tuesday, December 15, 2009 8:33:13 AM)

Yep, some people shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a computer! I feel it is a bit unfair that I should delete my channel, but once bullies decide to home in you, they rarely let up. So I think I'm going to have to delete it for my own sake...
Ouch! I've known people who have had wisdom teeth taken out. It's meant to be very painful. Get better soon! :) I need to see a dentist myself actually, a couple of my teeth are hurting. I really hope I don't have to have any taken out. :(
@K2M: It's not a good day, but thanks anyway! Nice to see you again. :)

That sucks!! Yeah, it'll be a good idea to delete your channel. You'll get a fresh, calm re-start by doing so.
I'm in some pain myself. I had to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed this morning. Typing with one hand right now.
Listening to the TV in the next room.

I tried to stand up to some pathetic troll on youtube, which I'm now paying for, as I'm being constantly bombarded by nasty messages from her and her fake accounts. I think I'm going to delete my channel, because it's just getting too much now....
Thanx for asking how I am though! :) How are you?

Nope, wasn't nice, the dental surgeon didn't sedate me enough so I remember her having to do that. She was pretty crap really, didn't give me or Craig any info about after surgery care, I got an inflamed jaw bone and infection from dry sockets (no blood clots like there should have been), afterwards I was hauled out to the car with a person under each arm cos I couldn't walk on my own. Yeah, average as care for me unfortunately lol. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Monday, December 14, 2009 7:57:52 PM)

Ouch Vail! Hopefully you recover with no problems - I had my bottom two removed under sedation in february last year, oh man, I had some problems afterwards
Angelic Storm - I hope whoever that cyber bully is backs off! Sounds very annoying and upsetting!
