Just spoke to my bank, and apparently the payments haven't gone on to my credit card and aren't pending. Now I have to wait till tonight to ring Plastichead.com cos they're in the UK. WTF if this delay causes me to miss out on coloured vinyl I will be mad!

LOL! Ohhh shit hellrider! If the members ever read any of this, they must understand that even though some of us didn't get into Nostradamus,we still hail the band for thier efforts and we still love the band but we are "hungry" for new material especially for those who didn't groove on Nostradamus because to us it feels like the last album Judas Priest put out was 2005's Angel Of Retribution. Nostradamus was released in July 2008 almost 2 years ago,and for the band to strike up a any kind of a tour for the Nostradamus album even if its a short one is almost taking a step backwards.

Same goes for if they don't do a Nostradamus tour and do a 30 year aniversary tour for Screaming For Vengeance in 2011 they would be taking a step backwards, something the band has never done before, the British Steel aniversary was fresh and new and thats all good but to tour another 30 year old album instead of creating something new would be heartbreaking.

They really have us all by the balls here, its like watching a game go into overtime on the edge of your seat pulling for victory and if it doesn't happen its a major letdown. All we can do is what we all obviously know....sit back and fucking "wait". This band means a HELL of alot to myself and millions of other fans and there is nothing we want more than a brand new studio album, but we also have to realize that we might not get one, that is fuckin scarry hellrider. We need to bribe them....lets say if they put out an album as strong as Painkiller we will all buy 2 copies!!!! Somethings got to give hellrider!! lol!

If it's just one or two shows, sweet as whatever. But I would very much like a new album! LOL! Who knows what will actually happen, bands talk about stuff all the time. I think if they were going to do something with Nostradamus they would have done it already, it's been 2 or so years since the album was released.

Do you think we’ll see a full-scale Nostradamus tour?We really want to do that. I still remember the day when Glenn, K.K. and myself were working over at Glenn’s house — and I think we were about three or four songs into the record — and I said, “Let’s just put a statement out on our website and tell everybody what we’re doing because I’m really afraid that someone else is doing this somewhere.” From that moment, we said that we were going to really push the heavy metal boat out and do something extraordinary. We’ve achieved that with the music, and we still want to do it on stage. We were in Hollywood recently and met with some producers and agents, so there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes.

NOT ONLY DOES THIS REALLY PISS ME OFF

I've kinda given up hope. I got so stoked when they said in an interview 'We'll come and tour the UK soon if we have to pay for it all ourselves!'- yeah, well that was three years ago now and not even a rumour of a UK show. Even if I didn't get to go I'd be glad if they did one cos it would prove they do actually care about their British fans.

Uuuummm..now just think about WHY that wouldn't work? Entrance to the hive is on the outside. Bees sleep at night and the hive is in a wall. Bug zappers work by what?? Attraction to light.

No HMRG, no epi pen. No worries, though. I wouldn't do anything without complete protection.

Thanks for the good wishes, all. To be continued...
[Vaillant 3.0] Wednesday, May 19, 2010 8:49:57 PM
Oh, you poor thing... pobrecito...now that's a sticky situation if I've ever seen one. My only uneducated suggestion to this problem would be to put a giant bug zapper in front of the hive entrance and then watch the fireworks from really far away.

On a slightly more serious note, I'm sending you some luck from the West Coast. Make sure the pets are safe!

How I wish that we lived nearby! Mark could help you. He got up on the garage roof to spray the hornets nest on the side of our house. He was armed with a fly swatter and a can of wasp spray. It was quite the sight let me tell you. I was standing on the sidewalk thinking I was safe - WRONG! Those bastards flew out of the hive, left Mark alone, and flew directly at MY HEAD!! Mark's spraying them and smacking the hive and they don't do anything to him - he's your man I tell ya! Now me, if I was within a mile of it, they'd find me. Not to sound like a mom or anything, but do you have an epi pen just in case things go bad? I'll lend lots of support right here from my safe little home. You KNOW I'm terrified of bees.
So, your venturing into the attic with no lights on and trying to find the source? By yourself?, no dumb fall guy to throw in your path? lol
I at least hope you have an epi-pin (or ten) handy, just in case you may need them.
I'd just have to camp outside till I found someone to get rid of them. Good LUCK!!

[guidogodoy] Wednesday, May 19, 2010 5:59:22 PM
Umm...recall that just finished replacing a ton of my cypress-sided home and just had it painted? Remember, this is an A-frame house. Ever try to pull off cypress trying to find a hive (unable to hear it like you can from the inside, mind you. In the heat of TN)? I guarantee, holes in sheetrock are much cheaper to repair than insulation, plywood, tar-paper, repainting, refinishing, a bee-suit, smoke cans and the possible injury of falling off a ladder AND a deck were you to actually FIND the hive. HAAAAA!! BTW, they usually swarm right at the face because of the air we exhale which startles people who are not used to dealing with bees. Nope, NOBODY attacks like that from the outside even if I didn't have all those other factors save for certain circumstances (a stucco wall, for example). This isn't one of them. Coming at from the inside by a non-trained person is risky but you are at least on solid footing and wouldn't risk cutting into a power line or stud with the proper detectors which wouldn't work from the outside as the wood is too thick. I do most of my own construction, as you can tell...

LOL!!! Now you know why I say that I now know more about bees than any non-professional should? Gotta laugh or I'll cry.

Glad you liked the read too, K2M. It is a dilemma that IS the perfect storm. Tonight in as much darkness as possible (they fly right to light sources and often kill themselves by the hundreds banging themselves into windows when in a house (thus explaining why I found 30 in one day in this one-window room). Still pondering how they got INTO that room with door and windo closed, no holes in walls (they can fit through a single NAIL hole), I am thinking that the hive could be in the attic (remember...they always build from the highest point down) and came down through the ceilng fan, light or vent. A-frame house theory again. The studs could, in theory, go all the way to the top in a non-load bearing wall.

Wish me luck. If you don't hear the continuing tale tomorrow, you'll all know why. I fell through the ceiling trying to walk the joists in the dark! HAAAAA!!!!!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Wednesday, May 19, 2010 4:07:26 PM)

Holy Crap Guido! I didn't realize they built the hive that far away from the opening and you had to tear out the wall to find them. I'm sure you can find many idiots to do exactly the wrong thing to "help" you. So you pretty much have to do it yourself because no one will help. That just totally SUCKS! I really hope you can find a solution without ruining your house in the process!

[guidogodoy] Wednesday, May 19, 2010 12:15:58 PM
Oh, I guarantee you...I am now a bee EXPERT! Having spent MANY days and nights going through bee webpages, forums, advice, calling beekeepers, I now know more than any living human should. Problem is, first, that I live in the boonies. Second, honey bees are the worst type of bee (and I even submitted specimens of them to insure that they were honey bees and not another variety) to have in a wall. Were they bees that make paper hives, you can leave it. Nope, THEY make..duh..honey! Next, once they get in the wall, you typically have to do a "tear-out" to find the hive. No good trying to simply kill them (and I can find many an idiot to spray the opening. Like you said, without getting rid of the queen and pupae, you get nothing but a bunch of rotting drones in the wall. If you don't do a cut-out involving finding the hotspot in the drywall where they have built the honeycomb (they start high, btw), even if you can plug the gap, poison them (surprisingly, soapy water kills them) and manage to kill the queen and babies (takes about three weeks for them to hatch), you are left with untended honey in a wall. Hot day, you guessed it, it breaks free, drips down the wall, invites rodents, cockroaches, ants and anything else that immediately picks up on an unattended hive.

FINALLY, to do a tear-out, you have to rip out the inside wall and hope the queen doesn't jump between another stud which is common when she senses danger. She abandons the hive and drones and takes a ball of soldiers with her and drops to the bottom between the studs either to the left or the right. Could be either. A carpenter (hard to get one) will NOT deal with a tear-out knowing that a swarm of live bees is there. A BEE-KEEPER usually doesn't want to do a tear-out as they usually find it not worth their time, effort and hassle.

Where does that leave a person? Between a rock (wall..heh) and a hard place!

Believe me, I have done my research. Thanks for the good wishes. I need them. To be continued....   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Wednesday, May 19, 2010 5:56:40 AM)

I know that you live far out with not much around you, but is there someone who can come and do a honey bee rescue? They find the queen and take her and then the rest of the hive follows. Pretty cool - but NOT MY KIND OF JOB! There are bee keepers who will also come and  move the hive..... Just a thought, but I don't know if anyone around you can do it. They probably still charge for the service though, even though they get to keep the bees and sell the honey. What a pain! Couldn't they build it in a tree or something??? Good luck Guido and try not to get stung!

That will be false hellrider, they will definately not be touring a Screaming For Vengeance tour in 2011/2012,if they did that they would be going backwards as musicians wich is something they pride themselves on not doing. They will deliver a brand new "metal monster" as you put it,and hopefully it will be a new album of british heavy metal at it's best.

The only problem is that we might not get it untill 2013 wich will be the last Judas priest studio album of thier career, the band is excruciatingly slow at recording new albums the last 20 years and for that reason we have every reason to belive that there will be only one more album from them.

If they do put out more than one more studio album I would be utterly "shocked" as by the time they would get around to recording an album after this next one, they would be in thier 70's and lets face it,once they turn 70 its over,Judas Priest will no longer be active. But there will be one more studio album and we just have to hope that its thier best work of all time!

Layabouts that do better than hard working families should be put to work in any capacity and made to keep on working, Plus cut the damn benifits! I couldn't believe the self entiled tone of that cow of a couch potato. She has no pride at all. Obviously she is at least second generation of the benifits system and likely raising her children to "get all they can" and work the system so they don't have to work either. I truely believe she's timed the having kids out to take her to retirement age so she NEVER holds a job in her lifetime. Bleah! They make me sick!

JJ, losing your Defenders CD is a pure crime! Have you contacted the police to report the theft/loss? lol   Hope you find it.
Now, a granade my be a bit harsh since the kids are there, but forcing the parents to be moving targets in a BB gun target game in a carnival would be good therapy for all involved. Could entitle the game. "Make the Layabout dance"

Government (and us) have to pay for stupidity and selfishness like this. Personally, I think it is cruel to have a litter of children that you cannnot give time to. Yeah, thanks to government grants they have clothes, gifts, food etc. But what about time and love?

Could you please explain what you mean by your rant towards me?  You have choosen to attack me in this public forum rather than PMing me with your concerns, therefore you have chosen to bring this discussion into the public areana.

I received a PM from yourself (and others) complaining about the behaviour of certain user on this Noticeboard, I reviewed their account and banned them due to content of their posts.  I banned all messages that they had posted on the Noticeboard, along with banning all comments by other users that quoted their comments, or were personal attacks back on that user.  That is standard procedure when a user is banned or a war breaks out.

u can ban my wife at the drop of a hat for one comment
Answer: yes, a user can be banned for 1 comment if that comment is a serious violation of the rules of this website.

Saw this in the Daily Mail today. Oh, please tell me the U.S. is not heading this way.

Why work when I can get £42,000 in benefits a year AND drive a Mercedes?

By Paul Sims
Last updated at 3:38 PM on 13th April 2010

The Davey family's £815-a-week state handouts pay for a four-bedroom home, top-of-the-range mod cons and two vehicles including a Mercedes people carrier.

Father-of-seven Peter gave up work because he could make more living on benefits.

Yet he and his wife Claire are still not happy with their lot.

With an eighth child on the way, they are demanding a bigger house, courtesy of the taxpayer.

More on the way: The Davey family at home

'It's really hard,' said Mrs Davey, 29, who is seven months pregnant. 'We can't afford holidays and I don't want my kids living on a council estate and struggling like I have.

'The price of living is going up but benefits are going down. My carer's allowance is only going up by 80p this year and petrol is so expensive now, I'm worried how we'll cope.

How it adds up.jpg

'We're still waiting for somewhere bigger.'

Mrs Davey has never had a full-time job while her 35-year-old husband gave up his post in administration nine years ago after realising they would be better off living off the state.

At their semi on the Isle of Anglesey, the family have a 42in flatscreen television in the living room with Sky TV at £50 a month, a Wii games console, three Nintendo DS machines and a computer - not to mention four mobile phones.

With their income of more than £42,000 a year, they run an 11-seater minibus and the seven-seat automatic Mercedes.

But according to the Daveys they have nothing to be thankful for.

'It doesn't bother me that taxpayers are paying for me to have a large family,' added Mrs Davey.

'We couldn't afford to care for our children without benefits, but as long as they have everything they need, I don't think I'm selfish.

'Most of the parents at our kids' school are on benefits.'

She added: 'I don't feel bad about being subsidised by people who are working. I'm just working with the system that's there.

'If the government wants to give me money, I'm happy to take it. We get what we're entitled to. I don't put in anything because I don't pay taxes, but if I could work I would.'

The couple met in a pub 13 years ago. A year later, at the age of 17, Mrs Davey gave birth to Jessica, now 12.

She was followed by Jade, ten, Jamie-Anne, eight, Harriet, six, Adele, four, the couple's only son Tie, three, and Mercedes, two.

'It cost too much to carry on working as we were actually better off unemployed,' said Mr Davey.

In addition to income support, housing benefit, child tax credits and a council tax discount, the couple receive carer's allowance and disability living allowance for Tie, who suffers from a severe skin disorder.

Despite filing for bankruptcy 18 months ago after racking up £20,000 of debt on mail order catalogues they still insist on splashing out on four presents per child at birthdays and last Christmas spent £2,000 on gifts alone.

'Santa is always generous in our house,' said Mrs Davey, who once applied to join the police but was turned down.

She insists her husband would do any job 'as long as we could still afford the lifestyle we have now'.

Mrs Davey, who spends £160 a week at Tesco, says she does not intend to stop at eight children. Her target is 14.

And she adds: 'I've always wanted a big family - no one can tell me how many kids I can have whether I'm working or not.'

That is hectic Freeze. I've heard of cases where the father takes the kids to school instead of the mother etc and ends up at work with the toddler asleep in the car. Freaky shit. I'm sure they do not intend for this to happen but ffs... How do you not see your baby sleeping in the car when you get out of it? Maybe it's just because as a women/mother, I always have my eye on who is in/around the car etc.
I'm not being judgmental I just don't get it.

ANOTHER topic that hits close to home for me! EVERY year in Las Vegas children DIE because a parent leaves them in the car in 105+ degree heat!!! This is NOT an exaggeration! EVERY YEAR! We have PSA's on the television each spring reminding people that this occurs and yet, it happens consistently. It is not always because of questionable behavior (strip clubs and whatnot), it is also so-called "good parents" that run off to work and forget the kid is sitting in the back, strapped in the car seat asleep!

One can only imagine the horrible, agonizingly slow death these children endure as the temperatures rise quickly to well over 180 degrees inside that locked vehicle here in the desert! The are basically roasted alive. In the "best case" scenarios, they survive but their brains are mush. It is one of the most terrifying things anyone can imagine and yet , I kid you not, it is an annual occurrence here in Vegas. I just saw the first commercial on TV over the weekend, warning that summer temps are on the way and we need to remember our kids are in the car!!!

The day a woman is so concerned about her looks that she feels a medication for "fuller lashes" is a viable option..........well, perhaps she needs the shrink's couch more than she needs the prescription. HRMG, that side effect is probably just one of many. Wouldn't supprise me if a pronness to eye infection goes way high, and what the hell, throw in a little explosive diarrhea to go with it! lol Society has become way too stupid. 20 somethings getting botox to ward off those lines of old age? What lines do you have in your twenties??? A shrink's couch would help them all much more than any beauty product.
