Halford 100% Halford is the one, the only original screamer. Owens has a voice ill give him that he can scream, but his scream is just to shrill. Rubs me the wrong way. Rob Halford has always been music to the ears. |

something in the two records that you did with them, would you do anything?
Maybe, something regarding the compositions?
A: "First of all, I love both records. Looking back now, I see how different
they are, but I still like them. I write in a complete different way... I’d
probably prefer more the classic, old-Priest type of material... like the way I
write in my albums... British Steel kind of stuff... for example 'Scream
Machine' (BEYOND FEAR) was like a Priest song. The title track of Play My Game
was originally written for Judas Priest... also, the song 'Save Me' (Beyond
Fear) was also considered for Judas Priest. But, I totally understand their
decision... Priest has treated me better than any band that I’ve been with."
Q: Did you like Nostradamus?
A: "Ahh... I think it’s a good record. It’s not the kind of record I would
have put out, but it’s a good record... I prefer the songs to be more... not
so laid back. But, Judas Priest always released different records, they changed
with every album." |

Leslie Lopresto, Tim "Ripper" Owens, Chris D,
Dave Jockers, Rob Halford, Dave Rossow
...they look friendly enough... |

Ripper was an amazing vocalist and frontman and had a helluvalotta talent, ive seen him once in concert, but Halford simply has more range and more charisma, and JP had way more great songs with Halford than Ripper, altho riper had some great songs....my question is who is better in Iron Maiden....
Paul Di'anno....
Bruce Dickinson...
or Blaze Bayley.

Halford. No question. Ripper was great with the band, and it was great to see the band keep going without Rob, but Rob is the man for the job. I'm pretty sure Tim even said that years ago. |

Primal Fear in general are about the nearest thing to JP...IMO - why not Ralf? Why didnt he been recruite in J/P?... | | Necroticist wrote: | | Omg yes....is equal to Rob in vocal range...maybe a little extra...try the first album - 'Chainbreaker' is like the best JP track they never did - would be easy to mistake it for earlier JP THAT good! | | AngelEyes666 wrote: | | I agree that no one can replace Mr.Rob, but whos Ralf (Primal Fear)?
Is He that good? I know that Tim was a mistake they made... | | Necroticist wrote: | | Here we go again - said for years the only replacement for Rob (like there could BE one) would have been Ralf from Primal Fear....they chose Tim instead and i consider it the biggest mistake in rock history... |
