Most of the meteors I observed originated from the Northeast, and flew to the Southwest. The path of the meteor varied (NE to SW, or directly NW to SE, etc) but they all came from the north to the south. I had to move to different places, though...the sprinklers came on and one of them almost wet me. Either way, the meteors kept going. Overall, it was very cool!!! Can't wait for the next meteor shower!!!! | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | De nada!!

It's only 8 pm here, but it's looking to be a nice moonless night here as well. Hopefully the meteor shower still has enough steam to give California a good show. Glad you liked the spectacle!
Now, off I go to search for those shooting stars. I'll be back. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Wow! Tonight was certainly the meteor shower night! Saw some 5-6 really good ones! Started directly overhead N to S at the beginning of the dogwalk and down to 45 degrees (still N/W - S/W) by the end. No moon, very clear skies with little to no light contamination. Last one burned out with a big yellow fireball leaving a white streak in its wake. KEWL!! (10pm central, FYI).
Happy searching all who care and thanks again for keeping me informed, Vail. |
