Speaking of Priest and drummers...here's a cool little nugget of trivia...

...Former Priest drummer Les Binks has a brief history with opening act Whitesnakes' David Coverdale...who know's what it is (hint: circa 1974 and 1977)...

Hill is also responsible for finding the singer for Judas Priest, Rob Halford. He met him while he was dating Halford's sister and mentioned that he needed a new vocalist for his band. Halford accepted leaving his band entitled "Hiroshima", and brought along drummer John Hinch, who would later be dropped by the band after one album due to "musical inadequacy", according to Tipton in later years.

Hmm...

Featuring Halford on vocals and harmonica, Paul Watts on guitar, Ian Charles on bass, and John Hinch on drums, Hiroshima was a local hard rock band making the rounds and sharing the '72/'73 Midlands club circuit with Priest for the better part of a year. After Ian Charles was later released, Halford took over his bass duties(!) and a few demo tapes were possibly recorded, but the group never did take off.

Yes, I have take a look on the famous and good Info Pages.
Was right with the harmonica, but have totally forgotten the bass guitar.

Dig a little deeper my friend...yes, the band was Hiroshima and yes, John Hinch was the band-mate...but the mouth organ was not what I was looking for (the mouth organ was a staple of lead singers in that era, you are correct in that) but he wound up playing (out of necessity) another instrument in the band...what was it??
