From the main JP website:
"Metal Maniacs - the Priest roars back this fall closing out the Redeemer of Souls World Tour 2015 with extra songs that add another layer of power to our set list - and we know our Priest family will be screaming to hear specially added classics from the metal vaults as well as fresh tunes from Redeemer of Souls....!!"

LOVED Saxon when they opened for Motörhead last month. Freakin' awesome. Biff also filmed us (Los Angeles). See if you can find the vid (and me...HA)!
Since you mentioned me I'll chime in. The thing is I can't really comment on new Maiden. I"m guessing you might remember a post of mine a few years back about a show I went to that had Halford opening for Maiden back in 2000. I mentioned that Bruce went on an anti-gay rant and all I could think of during is Rob backstage maybe hearing this shit. Never liked Bruce Dickenson since. Some here doubted that happened but I can say in all sincerity that I've never lied about anything on here. I've been wrong or mistaken but never lied. It's been 15 years since that happened and I still refuse to purchase, listen to, or acknowledge anything Iron Maiden because of it. Also (and on a different note) ... @ JD specifically, sign up for facebook. Just do it for the Saxon page. I know what you think of them and I'm telling you you would love it. The band is always on there and constantly interacting and posting. I went to the Pittsburgh show last week. I am not saying this for you I'm being serious. I was totally amazed at just how good they were. It had to be close to as good as their early days. They said they haven't played Pittsburgh since 83' so that helps explain why I've never seen them. After the show I was bummed I've never seen them before especially in their prime. They concentrated on three albums(my favorites) for the most part but did play other stuff. Crusader, Battering Ram(new), and others. Biff took a video from the stage to post on facebook. My wife is on it but you have to know where and hit pause to see her but it was still cool. She took some awesome videos for me. I'll post 2 or 3 of them here for you. She got a drumstick and I got a guitar pick. They didn't throw much out so both of us getting something was cool. Probably not the answer to your question but you ask me so...?? Anyway, take care!

Budred....I dont doubt one bit that Bruce said that shit....he seems like an arrogant asshole anyways.
The new album is lame and like Vail said they could vomit into a bag and fans would rejoice its pathetic.
Thats awsome you saw Saxon...its funny because I like the old songs the classics but only played by this current line up ....I just dont like the "vibe" and along with their image back in the 80's. It kinda spanked of wierdness to me but thats just me.
I really think they have been in thier prime these last 20 years now....1995-2015 with thier last 10 albums that includes Battering Ram album (awsome song). Once I get a computer I'll check them out on facebook then.
Im absolutely obsessed with Ghost's new album "Meliora". But thats a different story lol.
[Budred] Monday, September 21, 2015 1:47:54 PM
This is "Denim and Leather". I post as little as possible to keep from annoying anyone(there's plenty to annoy lately) so I'll make this the last one. I have other songs though so if anyone including JD wants to here any of them just ask and I'll post some. Otherwise take care! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Hp43YlT3HhU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> .sorry these are links and not the videos but it only requires a click so check them out.
...not sure if this is going to be the video or a link but it's "The Eagle Has Landed" by Saxon in Pittsburgh PA Thursday night. My wife took it. It doesn't sound too bad but she's right next to the speakers so there is some distortion. It's worth listening to or I wouldn't post it. She did mess up a little on filming the solos but you guys should still like this.

I only heard "Speed of Light", and it's.....okay. It's got the same feel as The Final Frontier album. Hence, why I have not rushed to the nearest Best Buy and bought "Book of Souls".
Most days I feel that the Eddie artwork has cheapened the band's music quality completely. Have you seen the music video to Speed of Light? That's some visually impressive stuff marching to the sound of an okay song. At this point they could make an album of them just farting and burping on the mike, slap on some awesome Eddie-related artwork and the fans would gobble it up and claim that it rivals the classics.
Ok....guido....HRMG....spa.....Head Banger....Budred....Vail......Iron Maiden's new album "The Book Of Souls" is #1 in 24 countries......this BY FAR crushes the numbers Redeemer Of Souls album has achieved......this doesn't bother me because we all know Maiden is BIGGER than Priest in popularity much due to "EDDIE" and artwork packaging ect...
what bothers me is that I listened to this album twice and I really wanted to like this album and wanted a great Maiden album just one more time but the only song on the entire album that is decent is the 2nd track "Speed Of Light"....the rest? The rest of the entire album is "FLAT BORING".
Nostrodamus beats this BY FAR.
What bothers me more is that there is a STAGGERING AMOUNT of fan comments hailing this album as BRILLIANT......all different places like blabbermouth...youtube.....I just dont get it? My god The Final Frontier was terrible and even THAT I this is more interesting.
I think the new Maiden album The Book Of Souls "SUCKS". Guys......what do you think?

J.D., I honestly have not heard the whole thing as I had to go to Memphis the past couple of days but did hear one song on SiriusXM. "Eh...." was exactly what I thought. I'll report once I get a chance to see the whole album (stopped by a Best Buy and SAW it) but, as you say, cover but heaven help us if this is another 8minute / track album as has been the norm since I tuned out after "Fear of the Dark." Sure, good song here and there but few and far in between.
Same thing went for WASP. You know I was a fan and was really hoping for a good comeback but the DJ on the Boneyard gave the only track I heard such hype (even said that it was on par with Blackie in the 70s? - yeah, 70s?!?). Again, nope. No hit with the only song I heard. Cannot believe the hype around that one either. Hell, WASP was more an 80s - 90s band! WTF was that guy smoking, I wondered. 70s?!?
I'll say what I think once I get a moment to listen to both albums. I'll say that I even wondered about the Scorps. Goodbye tour that lasted a year+ and now a new album finally released in the States (same album released in Germany 6 months ago). Is this on par for the Stones or Ozzy who had a "goodbye tour" back in the 80s?
At least I have a good feel that when I go see Alice / Crüe next month that they mean it! Crüe says "goodbye" and I am sure it will happen due to the Vince / Tommy hatred.
Time will tell but Tommy isn't even signing for the VIPs. Sad to have three of four but better than none.

Just got back from Memphis, Auntie B. Hall and Oates! Second row! Expensive but what a jam!
Too damn hot, though. Outdoor event and they were to give me a wristband to get into the pit (ha! Hall and Oates) when I walked in the gate. Had to jog back to the entrance to get one but good time all around.
Hope all is well with y'all. See some 40+ spam messages (all on ignore) so I see not much has changed here. Only with you and your snoring mate! LOL!!! Always a pleasure to read you and N.T.O. Counteracts the idiots to a certain degree!
Absolutely, without a doubt, have developed a crush on the artistic prowess of John5! I stumbled across a video clip of a time on stage when MM kicked him (couldn't really tell if Manson did it on purpose or the freaking Frankenstein clod hoppers he was lumbering around on stage in were too much for his nimbly form to manage ). J5 went on the defensive. He seems pretty passive. But neither will he take shit \m/ I like that in the objects of my adoration!
So, Uncle G, how's life?

@Val, the backwards button on your turntable was your finger. Hold on the record and spin backwards. Good luck getting the speed right though. I remember doing this a few times as a kid. I think Led Zeppelin was the first band accused of doing this. Believe they even had a term for it. Backward masking. If you really wanted to hear something this way you could probably trick yourself into thinking it's there but basically just a mind thing. Dismissed this stuff as ridiculous a long time ago and still hate Al and Tipper because of it. I even voted Nader once just because it was that or go with Gore. Sorry but I can never vote conservative. People like me probably gave G.W. his first term. Thanks Al you f***ing piece of shit.

Apologies for being the Whippersnapper of the 'Board, but CAN you listen to music backwards? Was there a "listen to music backwards" setting on the tape player/record player?
Yup, that's what they showed in the "Dream Deceivers" documentary. Allegedly, the way Rob sang the word "me" (and quite possibly "be") in the chorus sounded like "do it" when played backwards. He even had to justify in court why he sang those words the way he did for the recording. Plus I'm sure that the plaintiffs were not aware that it was actually a cover song. It's still fucked up, though, having to defend your singing style.

Ford trucks are the way. Test drive an F150 with the ecoboost engine. no it doesnt sound cool, but it GOES!!!!
in cars, I like hyundai, but most of the imports are good.
I just drove 700 km in 2 days in a lincoln mkx. nice toys and all, but good lord how over priced. and shitty fuel range. I put 50 bucks in 3 hours into the trip and have nothing left in the tank.
A "Fix or Repair Daily?" Aka. FORD?? (yeah, Detroit fan but still.....). I assume they got better or you drive a truck. Nope. I've seen their effect on the Detroit economy (despite their bailouts). NOT a fan.
Back in the day, you were keyed driving a foreign car. Now? My Toyota was made 90% in the city. Ford pulled out (for the most part) which destroyed the city and Chrystler is a disaster in the city. REAL touchy point now for all the unemployed workers (Ford included) that were "bailed out" but the workers still lost their jobs to NAFTA

No worries, broham. Have any trouble, just let me know. I can troubleshoot your computer, point you in the direction of good (free!) software both for playing and splitting or make your life easy and just do it for you and pass you copies of the songs split off from the last track of each CD.
Mine skips passed it, but cool that other people know about them ,will try the computer though, thanks Guido

THAT is the trick....look how long the last song ("Reality") is on the computer....lists it as 13+ minutes. "Jesus Saves" starts after ALL that silence!
Same goes for the last track of "A Small Deadly Space." Again, song 10 is listed as 13+ minutes. Wait (or push it) to about minute nine and, voilá, "Psycho Suicide."
Has nothing to do with the player. You can split the track off if you so wish with the right software.

I see that all is about the same. Twat posting BS about her love for me even though I am in a relationshiip with Snot (and own a motorcycle....lol...were she not a newb, she would have seen it) but all else is well. 24hr communte which isn't bad as there wasn't a major delay in Rio or Texas (no, Snot didn't come by to say hello).

@Vail. Here's a link to Knotfest official website. Should work but if knot it's Oct 24, 25. Priest headlines mainstage Saturday night. Not sure who all you care to see but Corrosion ... and Red Fang both play Sat. Slipknot headlines Sunday. Clutch on the Mainstage that day and Suicidal headlines stage 002 on Sunday. You'll love Suicidal. That were badass at ROTR. Try to get close, sound may be a little low for them. Hope some of this helps.

Here's the thing, though: an announcement was made for Rock on the Range, just before tix were to go on sale and MONTHS ahead of the festival date(s). For Knotfest? Nothing! The only reason I even FOUND that particular date was from reading an article that I found on FB, and even then it was after glancing at the story for a second time. Mere chance, in other words. I'm guessing that Slipknot doesn't want word to get out too far so that their fans can get the best tickets first. It IS their festival, after all.
Oh, and I never heard a thing about why AXS didn't show 'Priest at ROTR. My guess? Time constraints. That or an AXS exec was a Godsmack fanboy.
@Vail. I'm not sure of the dates and I know it's different than ROTR but at ROTR much of the info isn't released until a few weeks beforehand. They need to get everyone's days and settimes down. Probably a bit much logistics wise. Did you ever hear why Priest wasn't televised on ASX? I'm still betting it was Priest themselves.

I think I'm finally going to a Saxon show. I told HRMG a few weeks ago that I like Saxon and have listened to them since Denim And Leather. Got called out on that as a liar(basically). Here's the truth. I started listening to them during that time. I liked them a lot for about a 4 album period including Demin..., Wheels Of Steel, and Strong Arm Of The Law. I loved their live disc also and I still have my original copy of it on vinyl. I lost interest after that. I didn't care for nor have I cared for anything since. I missed the only show I knew they played in the area a couple of years ago and wasn't interested enough(even though I did want to see them) to leave the main stage because of my spot on the rail at Rock On The Range. I'm glad I missed those shows now because this tour is a highlight from my favorite Saxon LP's so this is the best time for me to see them. I'm only going to hear stuff I already know and like. @JD. I know you hate Facebook(and me) but you really should start a Facebook account just for Saxon. They always post, they're constantly putting up vids and interviews, and they'll interact with fans. Very infomative. You don't have to do the facebook thing to be on facebook. Just don't send or accept friend requests. Priest has a good page too but they do quite a bit less and almost no fan interaction. Give it a thought and don't blast me for suggesting it. I just know how much you like these guys and I think you would dig their facebook page. Take Care all!!

Man, I bought tix for Knotfest not too long ago, and the date for that gig STILL hasn't shown up on the Tour section of the JP website. And only a few of the listed bands have it as part of their tour dates. Nothing from Korn, Suicidal Tendencies, Clutch, etc.
Why all the hush-hush, I wonder...

Hmmm...sorry, Spa.
It's spelled "brethren". "Sistren" is spelled right, though.
I saw me a Judas Priest tribute band last night. VERY good one at that.

Yup! As I found out recently, there are lots of "faithful defenders" of many iconic bands here on the Western Front. One of the opening bands that night was a tribute to The Cult. There's one more JP tribute band that I'd like to check out. Haven't found any future gigs from them yet, though. Oh, well. Gotta be patient.
