if it was a old fiat i could probably help you out.my dad had a bunch of fiats had a couple spiders and bought some other fiats for parts at one point we barly had to shovel our driveway in the winter.lol.

I have to take it in because it is pretty dangerous but I don't know how to explain it to the dudes at the garage.. Craig thinks they will ask us to show them what t does and.. well, it's pretty random so how is the best way to explain it to them?
I've been very good with upkeep and maintenance.. it has had every service on due date since the day I bought it etc.

probably a problem with the accelorator cable. intermitent problems are the hardest to fix, but there is probably a simple way. not sure how the Fiat stuff is put together, and dont know much about Diesel, but if it were a gas car I think its probably a dirty linkage, or damage. unless you have a floor mat causing the pedal to hang up.

Glad to say, I've never owned a car with a mind of it's own. Can you chalk that behavior up to personality?? I Don't think most cars do that, and I think I'd check on such a bizzare thing. Such a thing could really suck in city traffic at an intersection.

I kind of get a glimpse of what the Prius drivers went through (PS I'm not kidding at all... it jams up.. car starts going full speed ahead and only way to stop it is to literally kill the engine and pull the key out.. then you have to start it again fast in case your steering decides to lock.)
