Ma called him a damn monkey but Clyde is an orangatan, of the great ape family (which I'm sure you know and were only joking). He was really very cool. Clyde did not reprise his role in the second film "Any Which Way you Can" because he had grown too large. His replacement, unfortunately, died of a "stroke" of sorts shortly after the film was made.

It's from Kathryn Bigelow's-James Cameron's Strange Days, a 1995 sci-fi-action movie.
