...this is probably more suited for the love thread but I've put too many pictures there and promised to keep
them here for awhile.
...anyway, my wife's birthday was last week and she worked early and I did late so there was no chance
of spending it with her. So, what to do?
I went up town and bought a cake and and ice cream and some decorations. Set up a projector with
a birthday greeting lighting up the kitchen door. I had it looking like this for her to walk into hopefully making
her smile. She said she loved it and smiled all day. Mission accomplished!

Not entirely true. Close though. Nothing more than 2 1/2 hrs. Out of 219 concerts maybe 5 required
a 5 hr. drive. I live in the middle of a (magic) triangle. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Columbus with Detroit
and Cincinnati on the outer flanks. Basically just lucky, that's all. ...This is by far my best year (ever) for bands seen live. 52 different bands, 58 performances.(5 bands twice
and Mushroomhead 3 times). Ozzy and Halford will close the year making it 60 performances. All of this in
6 concerts. It boggles my mind. I know I'll never top this year. Edited at: Thursday, November 11, 2010 10:18:35 AM |

...Can't wait til Saturday. The wife and I watch a local highschool football team.(Steubenville Big Red)
We have been going since 1987 and have gone to (roughly)175 games. Since 1984 they have played
in 6 state championship games winning 3 of them. They have made it to the semi-finals at least a dozen
times. OHSAA splits the state into four regions and Steubenville has won that nearly every year, one stretch
doing it eleven straight times. This year they lost 2 games in a row for the first time since 2000. They lost
in week eight last year to end a 68 game regular season winning streak. In 05' and 06' they were the first
Ohio team to have back to back (15 - 0) seasons. Their QB for that team plays for the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Playoffs start this weekend. Hopefully they will win a few games. Not championship material this year but
still good so we'll see. Even though most probably don't care I'll let you know how they do. Peace! |

...I just noticed that I got one (un)ignore. I didn't know you could do that. To whomever it was
if you're reading this I would like to say "Thank You". Even though I now realize this is going to happen
from time to time it's still a drag when it does. I've been trying to back off a little and keep my pics posted
here only. Hopefully that keeps the ignores down. Edited at: Wednesday, November 03, 2010 7:46:53 AM |

Thanks and I forgot one little detail. The biker in the Britney Spears outfit had the skirt, top, wig,
and ("biker" boots) on. It made the look. Saturday we went to Cleveland for Mushroomhead's annual
Halloween show. I was wondering on the way up why they were calling it their Halloween show when they had a concert
scheduled in Michigan on Sunday night. I saw that the line-up had three bands and MRH listed so after the third band I
thought MRH was next. Then after the fourth band I thought they were next. After the sixth band I was getting pissed.
After eight bands and the clock saying 11:30 and still no MRH I was wondering if this shit wasn't going on all night. At
midnight I found out why they called it their Halloween show. About 1:40 the show was finally over. I know most here
hate them but it was so worth the wait. Incredible high energy show and a "VERY" sic crowd. Then all the hotties with
their little schoolgirl outfits, and little fairy outfits, and nurses and...You get the picture. The waitresses were running
around in heels and garters and panties with black tape covering the nipples. I'm happy and love my wife but it was fun to watch.
We got home around 4:30 in the morning. Got about five hours sleep and then went to Coopers Rock. I may have overrated
the place the first time but it is a beautiful place none the less. We walked all of Rattlesnake trail this time. I may post a
slide show for you guys. You wouldn't believe how treacherous some of this path looks. This post is a little long so I'll end it.
I'm a little tired but I can rest when I'm dead. Right now I'm just trying to live. It's one of the reasons the wife and I are so happy.
P.S.
You should have seen the biker dressed up in a little Britney Spears outfit(skirt, crop top, and wig) moshing in the pit. Now that was funny. Edited at: Monday, November 01, 2010 6:48:05 AM |

...Going to Mushroomhead "Halloween" show tomorrow in Cleveland and then Sunday we head south
to Coopers Rock State Forest again. We want to check out all four overlooks and a couple of walking trails
and of course cookout. There is a trail that leads to an overlook that's supposed to be better than the one I
showed you guys pics of. If I get any good shots I'll post them here. If I get any video at the concert I'll post
that here also. Hope to have a fun weekend.Peace all! |
