The wife and I went for a drive yesterday to check out some fall colors.
We came across an old (small) cemetery and decided to check it out. The first
thing I noticed was some of the dates of death. 1856, 1840, 1870, etc. etc..
I was becoming fascinated with some of the stone decor when I noticed that
quite a few of the stones were broken. Then I noticed that some of the old dates
were on newer stones. Then I noticed a few of the stones had been repaired
or put back together where they were broken off. Basically some asshole(s) had
vandalized the entire cemetery. The more I walked around the more I noticed and
it became quite sad to say the least.. Literally almost had tears in my eyes thinking
about how someone could be so freakin' callous and uncaring. All that history destoyed.

At least the finally recognised Rush and Deep Purple, the latter only after Jon Lord has passed  no guarantee either will get in to the hall though.

They were really going to have an actual rock concert in the city tonight. Rare occasion. Especially when it isn't a Christian band.
Of course, it would have to be on the night when we finally get a break from the drought. Massive storm. Perfect timing, too. Right when they were going to try and harvest the soy and cotton that was dead in the fields (corn was a total loss). Now the rain will make it all but impossible.
Glad I don't own a farm.
