Years ago, Craig had a student hit into his car door and wreck it pretty badly. So the guy offers to pay for it and then later he gets a letter in the post from the guy's father saying that 'we refuse to pay you any damages because if you were not driving on that road my son wouldn't have driven into you'. Needless to say he paid up before it went to court lol.

Years ago, Craig had a student hit into his car door and wreck it pretty badly. yeah, I dont know your laws, but unless they are radicaly different from here, thats ileagal.
the dunbness that some get up to in our cars is impresive. if a car is stolen, the first place you look is for a hooker. so many guys hire a hooker, fall asleap, and get cleaned out. "someone broke into my hotel room" must have had a master key. forgot to set chain. right.... It seems to be something that would come in more useful than a flu shot lol.
HB.. I would so love to read through some of those reports.. I can only imagine half the stupidity some get up to.. What's really pissing me off now is that this woman calls me in tears telling me she doesn't have any insurance but she'll say her father in law was driving before he is covered as a driver in that vehicle... Hang on here a min.. Aint that like.. what's the word I'm looking for... ILLEGAL????
And not that I know much about er.. legalities but aren't insurance companies and police and er.. general law very, very against.. falsified reports and that kind of thing???
I don't know this woman from a freaking asteroid shower and she wants me to enter some illegal fecking arrangement with her whole family?? I don't think so...
I'm starting to think that this woman doesn't have a drivers license. | | HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS wrote: | | OMFG!!! Gee, I don't know, maybe you didn't give him another car because he might KILL someone the next time??? I often wish there was a shot that you could give people to give them COMMON SENSE!! I swear I'd go around giving people these shots all day long!
Sorry to hear about the accident Joe. I'm glad you weren't hurt and no one else was in the car. I hope there wasn't too much damage. But it's still incredibly inconvenient to have to take your car in to get fixed. She probably didn't even have that much damage, did she? Seems like the stupid people always get off easy.
I like to read the stupid criminals reports, like the guy who broke into a place and couldn't get out and had to call 911 Reading those makes me laugh so hard I cry! | | Head banger wrote: | | wow, got to like dumb people. when I get a free moment at work I like to read the accident reports (work for a car rental co). man there are some dumb people.
I got a phone call once from the police in Banff, we had a renter stoped at a level crossing, waiting for a train. another car, also ours stops behind. third car, also ours stops. then suddenly for some reason this guy hammers on the gas, pushes car 2 into car 1. WTF.. luckily no one was hurt, and the car didnt get pushed into the train. then the guy was pissed that I wouldnt get him another car. | | joedraper wrote: | | Some stupid woman was driving behind me today and when I came to a yeild sign, just about to enter a slipstream, she just rams her car into the back of mine... I mean really folks.. how hard is it to remember that following distance is there for a reason? I am so beyond tired of people driving like total idiots. What gives them the right? It seems that there are more and more bad drivers on the roads these days. I look after my car, am an extremely observant driver and respect and obey rules of the road. I respect that I need to take responsibility for my life as well as those fellow road users. The only reason this whole thing happened was because this woman was not paying attention and had her car pretty much as close to my back wheel she could possibly have it. I'm furious. Thankfully, my kids were not in the car. The car is damaged again. This is the second.. no I correct myself, third time that some idiot has caused damage to my car. How on earth do you just drive straight into the back of someoene's car?? STUPIDITY that's how! |
