I live in the U.S. You are/were an independent trucker that owns your rig I gather? That would explain things a little better. Hell, the gas prices alone are enough to give that one up anyways. I know I'm having to weigh the pros, and cons of being a Dominos pizza delivery driver. So far the tips have been worth it.

Anyways, I'm off to bed, but I wish you the best with your situation.

In a normal job yes, it would be hard to swallow. But in the US, with certain occupations like truck driving, different rules apply and a paycheck isn't just about getting paid by the hour and have your taxes and insurance taken out. Unfortunately that is how it is, depending on the companies, and most trucking companies carry more bullshit than they carry freight. If you don't believe me, take a look at the truck driver forums on the web. Working and owing the company you work for because you're forced to ask for money in advance to pay the bills just doesn't cut it. Thank god the nightmare is over.

My post was an exageration, and an attempt at humor to be honest. However they did take alot of money out of my wifes 1st paycheck, and to be honest...I've made more money in tips one night than she did on a three day paycheck.

Your story, if true, is a bit much to swallow. Yeah, I'd be getting a good lawyer, and seeing what could be done legally also. Hope it goes well.

Easily: just have a company policy of deliberate mistakes, "forgetting" to add the weekly medical insurance ladeedas and then remember! when vacation pay time comes.
Receiving a $-100 or a $-75 pay every week used to be the norm in that filthy company.

How the hell does a person get a negative paycheck ?

I'm expecting a certain (bleeped) company to have a class action lawsuit against them sometime in the future.
Does a $-850 paycheck make sense to you? I have lived that way for years. There is far worse out there too.

1st paychecks piss me off!
1. 3 days of training = $134
2. State tax = ridulous amount subtracted.
3. Federal tax = ridiculous amount subtracted.
4. FICA & SS = ridiculous amount subtracted.
5. Uniform cost = $15 subracted.
The final result = ridiculous amount in debt...must wait another 2 weeks, before one actually makes any money!

The fact that I HAD two 7th row tics and was going to take my nephew to see the mighty JP but could not make it home in time due to work over in Africa. I had to get one of my friends to take him and just EAT $280. worth of pure badass. Instead I get to sit on a boat (which I'm still here) for another week and wait 'till the job is done to go home. Talk about pissed off....Of course those in charge don't give a $#!+ and I had told them this MONTHS ago! No JP, no H&H and no Motorhead. Just work offshore, and that is that.!! .......................drag.....................

BENDING OVER BACKWARDS FOR PEOPLE AND GETTING KICKED IN THE ASS!

I'm actually okay with him going back next season...as long as he watches the budget. I've just been so burned out with everything. I spent 11 straight days at the hospital taking care of him. Then when we got home I had to do that AND work. The accident was a month ago and only now am I starting to get my energy back. Still need to write all those thank-you notes.

He can do almost everything himself now. When he figured out how to tie his shoes, I said boy am I gonna miss that metaphor LOL.

Does anyone know how to creat the lists?  I chose my top albums of all time but I do not know where the enter button is.  I feel really stupid, but I just cannot see it.

on the other hand, if he were to quit now, its because he lacked ability.  where as he can go back and conquor the bike, or decide that its time to hang it up, on his terms.  being forced into anything sucks.  if he can ride, he can decide not to, but if he quits because of a crash, thats damaging to his psyche.
dunno if this made sence, I know what I mean, not how to say it.

What's pissing me off?

What's pissing me off is the fact that I'm not 18 yet so I can't fucking participate in these fuckin cool fuckin contests for fuck's sake!

Here's my idea for the Top 5 list contest.

I give permission to whoever wants to use this list.

Top 5 Most Memorable Moments In A Song:

1. The Hellion

2. Painkiller's drum intro.

3. Living After Midnight's riff.

4. Guitar Solo from Sinner.

5. Opening note of Turbo Lover.

And I think it's a GOOD fucking list too because it's all true! How many of you remember other parts more so then those things I listed?

Well....I am have been pissed off most of the day that I am still here at home! Guess I am not making that back to back Pittsburgh / Dallas run.

Ah well, probably for the best but still BURNS me to be sitting on two JP tickets thanks to a bastard who promised to go. Still waiting for him to call back to see when we are leaving. Grrrrr!
[TIMBONI] Friday, August 15, 2008 9:18:51 PM
He's a racer.  You aren't going to take that out of him and you shouldn't want to.  It's part of who he is and why you were drawn to him.  It's a lot more than just the "at the track" part of him too.  Please don't push to take this away from him.  You don't want to deal with the resentments that will result.  Believe me, I know about giving up dreams and it breeds some very deep resentments.

To play the devil`s advocate here. I left the pavement at an accelerated rate in 2003,broke the frame of the bike when it landed. I on the other hand kept flying, which was cool, but the landing was alittle tough!! I broke my wrist, dislocated my left shoulder, severly bruised the right and lost a toenail  (don`t ask!!). No road rash as my gear done it`s job. For a rider that loves tio ride,a get off is just a temporary set back. I`m still blazing trails all over the place!! He`s just ready to bite that dog back is all!!

There are some awesome photos of exposed fractures and crushed balls on the internet, all you have to do is search and show them to him.
[paperflowers] Wednesday, August 13, 2008 4:03:42 PM

My husband has a broken shoulder, broken arm, half a dozen broken ribs and a newly-healed punctured lung from a crash on 7/18. I have been taking care of him 24 hours a day ever since.

This weekend he wants to go watch motorcycle racing AT THE SAME FUCKING RACETRACK and then stop by the RV dealership to look at a trailer for next season.

I don't know what to say. I don't even want to think about this.
