Yes, very sad especially because he was such a kick ass drummer and hot to boot.

Speaking of crispy hair spray, does anybody remember Final Net? That stuff was the best.

Crispy! HA! It wouldn't budge in 40 mile an hour winds! But you woke up in the morning looking like you had a fish fin on top of your head. LOL

Jeanine, I was unaware of Clive Burr's condition... great to know that there are a lot of good-hearted people out there helping him out. As for not mussing my hair while driving... lots and lots of mousse and spray.. it was so "crispy":)

Big Hair! HA!! I remember having to slouch down in my car a few times to keep my whipped up hair from being flattened by the roof of the car!

I can remember dressing up on Halloween at a Motley Crue concert back in the 80's.  I had the big hair, leopard shirt, black velvet pants, black spiky boots, leather armband, handcuffs.  Those were the days. Just a bit of advice, don't take the bus if your going to dress like that.

MG, my heart aches for Clive Burr.  Unfortunately he has Multiple Sclerosis.  A horrible disease.  He was such a beautiful drummer.  He has a lot of love behind him though and that is a wonderful thing.  Iron Maiden supports him the best they can. They hold the fund raiser "Clive Aid"  for MS.  Here is the most recent photo I have found of Clive (in wheelchair).

LOL.... What a time to be alive aye. The modern version of that is what I do... Put on tight blue or black jeans, black shirt with any number of my favourite bands on the front, white and red boxing boots, still got the fuzzy hair lol. Instead of fluffy dice i have a mini black shirt hanging by a piece of string that says "I'm with the band" with devil horns. I drive around blasting Balls to the wall... lol, so that hasn't changed. The music is still pretty much the same, it's just the clothing that's varied.

OMIGOD!!!!! The spandex!!! I totally remember putting on my black spandex with large shoulder padded green and black top, and white fringed ankle boots and heading out to listen to some METAL!!!! The hair was big, the stereo speakers were HUGE, and I had pink fuzzy dice hanging on my car's mirror:)  I was ready to rock!!!! I totally remember blasting Quiet Riot and Accept's "Balls to the Wall" from my car's stereo system as I cruised to the nearest gas station where cute 'metal guys' worked and putting in like 2 dollars worth of gas just to flirt with them...good times...... I LOVE seeing these pics... and Steve looks like he barely has enough room  for the crown jewels
