THE EXCITING FREEWHEEL BURNING

[DelivererofEvil] Monday, March 09, 2009 2:42:35 PM
I was thirteen in 2005 when I first listened to Some Heads Are Gonna Roll on Pandora's web radio. Needless to say, it was love at first sight. And I am with Paul there, because Judas Rising was to come up next. That one was the final blow for me and since then Priest have reigned in my heart.

If it weren't for Scott Travis's, Simon Phillips's or Les Binks's drumming, I wouldn't have become a drummer.

[Gibbo UK] Monday, March 09, 2009 1:17:38 PM
Mine was Exciter on the Unleashed In The East album (my first Priest album i bought) What a great track to get me hooked on Judas Priest.
[CountessErzebethBathory9] Monday, March 09, 2009 12:23:02 PM
The first song was The Ripper.
[Sentinel14] Monday, March 09, 2009 10:46:49 AM
Thanks for the welcome guys.
Priest have inspried me to learn the electric guitar. So went out and bought myself a BC Rich Draco. Can't play it - yet !!
But its really amazing the affect they have had on me, my music tastes and outlook/hobbies.
Being a University Lecturer (in Applied Maths), one has to dress conservatively, BUT on the days when I only have one tuorial to do, its out with the leather/studs etc - turns a few eyebrows I can tell you.

Good morning Ron!

Your comment is sooooo true!  Priest's music is truly timeless and will always rock!

Paul, welcome to the board!!!  Post often, so that you're not limited to the newbie section.

Hi Paul...it's good to hear from newer fans of Priest...they are truly timeless...the thing about being a fan is that once Priest hooks you, they've got you for life!!!  Welcome to the Board and have fun!!

"Great bolts of lightening, came out of nowhere" - Judas is Rising off the Angel of Retribution Album.
Listened to it on KNAC internet radio one boring afternoon in work. Emailed KNAC to find ot out who sang it, then went straight out and bought the album. Since hearing it, I have never looked back.
In fact Priest has opened a new door to life and enjoyment.
I have most of the albums now, and dvds. I really really hope they bring out a live Nostradamus concert dvd.
Saw them in Cardiff. Absolutely brilliant.
Long may they reign.
Paul

First Priest song was Freewheel Burning. Defenders of the Faith was new and my first introduction to the Priest. Rock Hard, Ride Free off that album is still a top 5 favorite Priest tune. My absolute favorite song is Breaking the Law. Judas Priest was my first introduction to heavy metal, and the addicton has only gotten worse.

Breaking the Law!  I'm pretty sure I saw the video on MTV's original "Headbanger's Ball" when Ricki Rachtman was the host, back in 90-something.  Ah, those days when MTV actually catered to headbangers.

[silverpriest] Saturday, August 02, 2008 8:05:54 AM
The first song I heard was breaking the law.  Went out next day and purchased been hooked ever since.  next albums were screaming for vengence and defenders of the faith.  In 84 started putting my hands on evertything they had put out. Never disappointed
[duanemc] Wednesday, July 30, 2008 9:21:02 PM
I heard "Breaking the Law" from British Steel in the fall of 1980. A friend of mine had bought the album and made a cassette tape with some of the songs on it. I could not believe the intensity, the thickness of the sound, the weaving of the guitars and vocals beyond anything I had ever heard before. It seemed to reflect and emcompass the depth of my teenage angst. I was hooked at that time.
[ericradio] Tuesday, July 29, 2008 10:28:15 PM
For me that would be "Exciter". May 1978 Houston TX

I know priest will get back here, but seeing Bon Jovi live in a live venue, it struck me i have not seen priest, Sabbath or maiden in front of more than 5 thousand people. It makes  a lot of difference with a big venue. Looking firward to seeing them when they arrive home.

I'm sorry, you have to understand what a large place the world is! They can't go everywhere. They try, but they have to rest too.
I know england is their home country and they have promised to come back, and they are always a band of their word! They will return.

Unfortunetly , large venues in England dont get touched by Priest, Sabbath, or Maiden in England anymore just the pathetically small ones. Its not a slight on the bands just frustration from lots of fans in the UK.
