I agree Michael. Only one epic is needed, and I personally believe Nostradamus more than fits that bill! To me it's an amazing record. But personally I hope the next album is straight out and out hard hitting Priest, good solid heavy metal is what they do best and I look forward to any offering they bring to the table!

it will be another epic masterpiece just like every other album is
[spapad] Friday, March 13, 2009 8:44:04 PM
I love Halfords stuff but I still think Priest has more than enough to say as a band. The next one will be completely in the opposite direction, that's what they do and they are good at it. IMHO.

I dont think they will do another conceptalbum.
Mind you, I love Nostradamus - guitarsolo and twinsolo heaven - and Robs voice in, say Death - so deep and powerful..

Mabye we can clone Rob so he can do both Halford and Priest !

But I CRAVE mor KK and Glen solos ----another record YES YES YES

[Necroticist] Friday, March 13, 2009 3:33:50 PM
Sorry - but i dont want another CD....hated the last one and Rob is better solo imo - dont go off on one...is just my opinion
[B Dharma] Friday, March 13, 2009 3:07:31 PM

I have read that there is a live album in the works.. This could be just rumour but, if it's true then the PRIEST should gather ONLY the best recordings of the HALFORD only PRIEST since the 1988 tour( which was incredible)..  ROB was at his best in 88..  There are definitely some great moments from the PAINKILLER tour as well..

Then we move to the 2000's.

Only and I mean only the best, vocally, band tight, and roaring crowds should make up this montage of different shows from all over the world..

They should make it a "triple cd" with a couple of doubles such as METAL GODS from 88 and then the recent 2009 METAL GODS.. That would be interesting and exciting..

Include some great moments from OZFEST and the shows they did in between OZFEST such as The Mohegan Sun show in 2004 where ROB was hitting the highs in blazing fashion..

Obviously since he quit smoking his voice has come back temendously on the 2009 tour so some of these should be included..

Any thoughts??

BTW: NOSTRADAMUS IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i heard Priest was doing a concept album I was like NOOOO!  Concept albums usually don't go over too well.  Being the devote Priest fan that I am I bought it anyway and man it was a metal orgy in my ears lol.  This album nukes every other concept album that any other band has ever done.  I was mesmerized with it and played it repeatedly on my ipod, computer and in my truck for months and I'm still not burned out on it.  Priest still have it in them and I wait anxiously for the next album to come.

I want to see the Nostradamus live first, I`m looking forward to it. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

If their next album is anywhere near as good as Nostradamus, Angel Of Retributuin, or Painkiller then i will be happy for all eternity. I just hope that they come around where i live for the tour! I sadly missed their recent one in North America....    :(
[icecreamman] Wednesday, January 28, 2009 6:34:25 PM
I am very curious to see what they put out next.

After NOSTRADAMUS the epic, dark, evil, mysterious, beautiful, heavy, classical, operatic, story telling ,best written in twenty years album,
I'm very interested to hear what they come up with next.
[Udo Sapper] Monday, November 17, 2008 2:18:53 PM
I'd like a kick ass heavy fuckin' metal album that let's me go crazy - from the beginning to the very last second.

Gruesse
Udo

P.S. But calling Nostradamus a boring album is unbelievable in my opinion. The depth of the songs are epic and more than great and if you don't feel it - than what on earth do you feel?
[metalmaz] Monday, November 17, 2008 5:10:18 AM
I hope they do another album.

As long it's not  like Nostraboerus

A recording of them warming up their instruments would be just fine.  A collage of soundchecks around the world.  Anything they do is fine with me.  They have come up with something a bit different everytime and that is part of the appeal for me.  When the new cd comes out, opening it up and spinning it for the first is like opening 10-12 new presents at Christmas!  Each a treat in their own right.  I really enjoyed the grown up sound of Nostradamus, and anything saluting the last almost 40 yrs of Priest would be grand.  As long as they're enjoying themselves, it'll come across in the recordings.

You said it mate! I want fast, powerful, high energy.... sounds like i want another Painkiller..Gosh!.... But obviously with a different spin on it...  maybe more like AOR... with that classic Priest feel to it .. Well needless to say i want too much included. So i'll say like someone else before me, let the Priest decide what i shall hear and surprise me.   I just hope we don't have so wait so damn long this time...

[Head banger] Tuesday, October 14, 2008 7:07:49 AM
Like Justin said, every album is different, dont look for the next to be like this, they keep changing.  myself, a cross betweeen painkiller and aor would be perfect, or something more 70's sounding, but that seems less likely to me.

..just KNOW am gonna get in trouble again...but after the last CD = i don't want a new one! Unless as was mentioned earlier they go back to the METAL...Rob's solo stuff kicks ass...but unless JP as a whole get back in line - i think they're a spent force.....sorry, just my opinion..
[Justin Kenny] Tuesday, October 14, 2008 5:10:38 AM
I've known for many years to simply trust Judas Priest with their own musical instincts.      I don't put any  'wish-list'  compromises when it comes to any new product they're looking to make.      Every album they make has their own fingerprint...each one unique and individual from the other and completely different from anything else that's out there.      They've done it all and without peer or apology....this is part and parcel of their legacy and its magnificence.
[Screamin' Demon] Tuesday, October 14, 2008 1:04:09 AM
That's the way. I would like the same. Something that will rip my balls off. As long as it is balls to the walls, catchy and mean.  I trust Priest that their next album will be just as good as Nostradamus, this lineup can do anything they want, they have the power and talent to.

I like "Nostradamus" but one epic is enough.
I want to have back an awesome album like "Painkiller"
but with 20 amazing blood pressure rising,
ear ripping, boots knocking off, socks burning up
and headbanging songs.
So they rules back forever.
 Judas "Fucking" Priest

[Mysterio] Monday, October 13, 2008 7:17:06 PM
So what is your expectations for the next JP album.  What do you think is the best thing for them to do.  I think that they should make it lean and mean.  10 songs that are 3-5 minutes.  No more epics.  I want more Delivering the goods,  Hell Bent for Leather,  Breaking the Law, Freewheel Burning, SFV, You got another thing coming, PainKiller.

You got the general idea.  I want lean mean speed.  I want them to look at thier History and make a killer album with hooks crunchy riffs and squeeling guitars.  I want to feel like I am on a Motorbike in a race against the forces of evil.
