Black Sabbath would be on first because they created metal. (not sure who would be the vocalist though) I guess if it has to be Ozzy then it has to be. lol
Judas Priest second because they had their big influence on metal also after Sabbath.
Iron Maiden third (headliner) because they are the biggest band of the three and also had a huge influence on metal.
Now this is just my opinion and no disrespect in the order. And if you want to throw Saxon and Motorhead (alhough their not metal according to some) in there as some kind of mini pre show thing to warm up the crowd then ok. lol

they are stale and overdone now. the final frontier sucks as you said. They released the single, I went to teh concert, bruce said that the song sounded beter on the disc than the single they released, and even better than that live. I listened live, and it sucked balls. was hoping the rest would be better since the singles of AMOLAD were the crap from that disc, sadly this time they folowed the total crap formula.

But I like the 8 songs on it,but not nowhere near as much as I love the first 5 studio albums from the 80's. But me liking AMOLAD doesn't "save" Maiden from claming they are stale and boring, the albums before it suck dating back to Seventh Son being the last decent LP and obviously the Final Frontier sucks balls(I wish it didn't).
Its sad when I look at thier discography and from 1988 to 2011 there is only 1 album I like and its "ok". Can you imagine if they never sucked all these years? And put out an album like The Number Of The Beast in 2011? That would be killer, but its a fantasy. Steve Harris ruined his own band and has no idea whats wrong.
Not turning this into a Maiden discussion,I'm just wishing they were better. You know if Iron Maiden did what they did a few years back on the Ozzfest tour and played songs only from thier first 4 albums...Iron Maiden,Killers,The Number Of The Beast and Piece Of Mind and opened up for Motorhead and Judas Priest ( which they wouldn't as the only exception was opening up for Ozzy on Ozzfest and that even turned into a fight because they didn't headline ) it may be ok to have them on tour, but if not playing the first 4 or 5 albums only,no way.
And Budred,I "can" belive you've never seen Saxon because they don't play in the U.S.A. but only 3 shows once every 5 or so years ect...very scarce. The band "sucks" at "achieving a proper manager". But they don't think they are "that wanted" here in the U.S.,yes they are aware that there are many fans here but they are lazy at getting thier butts over here, but lets face it....
They are not "Iron maiden" and Maiden packs in sold out shows even if every body there doesn't like thier new albums, they are there to see the old albums live and rightfully so,I'm giving Maiden credit for thier old albums yes. It doesn't matter if Saxon put out an album that could beat Painkiller they will never have a huge following.
But Biff said the band doesn't really care about trying to outsell Maiden, they like being "cult" meaning "hidden" and they love the fans they have already. That being said I am not suprised you've never seen Saxon. I'll never see them live, unless I get some money and fly to England.

Yes your right too about that. If they didn't have the art work with Eddie they would be nowhere near the success they are now, just like if Kiss never had the makeup idea same thing. Yeah a Saxon motorhead and Judas Priest tour would be the best ticket, throw Maiden in there to open up for Saxon to warm the crowd up but only if they stick to playing thier first 4 albums....wait.......neah,throw out Maiden for good lol!
Iron Maiden achieves packed out stadiums these days mostly, I believe, because of their fantastic marketing. They have been marketed really well, which has paid dividends for them, even though they haven't released a fantastic album for such a long time.

I'm not saying Ozzy can't sing anymore and I'm not saying he couldn't pull it off but I just hate Ozzy these days,I'm so tired of him just like his song "so tired". But thats just an opinion,I'm sure thousands of fans would love to see it happen. The magic from the 70's they had together is obviously gone, but those albums they left behind still rule Sabbath's discography for me.
The big 3 for me would be Saxon opening up for Motorhead and then Judas Priest headlining. But I'm sure your post is accurate, the majority of fans would like a Maiden Priest and Sabbath tour, just not me.

Even in 96' when I saw Sabbath they were ok but nowadays Ozzy is just a fucking dumb uninspireing buffoon and I would hate to see him front Black Sabbath again and now that Dio has passed there isn't anybody that would do Sabbath justice. And Iron Maiden is so "dull" with Bruce being such an arrogant dick these days I'd hate to see Maiden on a Priest tour.
Very bad idea for me so I'm hoping that it never happens. If it did happen with somebody singing for Sabbath I'd skip both Sabbath and obviously Maiden and just show up for Priest.

I wouldn't blame Iron Maiden if they didn't want to open up for someone else because Maiden are so huge. Just goes with the territory. Now if this big 3 event did happen it should go like this...
And if you want to throw Saxon and Motorhead (alhough their not metal according to some) in there as some kind of mini pre show thing to warm up the crowd then ok. lol

LOL! Yeah a Saxon,Motorhead then Judas Priest headlining tour would be my dream tour. You know we all were bitching about Iron maiden long before that dumb fucking troll came here. I think I am the ONLY member at this forum who actually likes the 2006 "A Matter Of Life And Death" album ..."sigh"...I hate to keep saying it but I can't give the 2 shit songs credit "Different World and Benjamin Bragg" the 2 songs they chose to have as singles, and videos.
Nah that line up for me would kick major ass too JD! Saxon, Motorhead and Priest, wow that'd be awesome! I'd see Maiden on their own, cos to tell the truth, with their long winded songs they produce these days, I'd probably get bored with them and would just want the mighty Priest on stage ASAP! LOL!
