Funny to think that two of rock's most bizarre characters (and I use the term bizarre with utmost admiration)......Alice Cooper and Gene Simmons......are two of the most articulate, intelligent and successful musicians in the industry.   Consider also that Gene Simmons came to this country from Israel at age 8 not knowing a single word of English.....look at him now.  He's the American dream personified. If you listen to Rob's vox on the song "Death" it's almost like Alice is singing the song.  The lyrics are very Alice......this could have been straight out of his catalog.   A lot of people also don't know that Alice helped Kip Winger (yes, Kip Winger) launch his solo career.  Winger was Alice's bass player for a while.

I saw Alice on the Midnight Special when I was a kid. Welcome to my nightmare, it was excellent and I don't think I was ever quite the same.

First saw Alice live in 1982 on the Special Forces Tour - I've been  a fan since.
