I would definately like to meet in person if that was possible
Umm... jj my man, that would be "if it were possible". In English grammar, when a statement is in obvious contradiction to reality, the subjunctive mood requires a plural verb after a singular noun in conditional clauses beginning with "if", but also in subordinate clauses following verbs like "meet"....

I don't want to condemn the site at all. There's a lot of people that post here that I would definately like to meet in person if that was possible. However there are also a lot of people I wouldn't as well, that's all I was saying. Only one word (and song) came to mind when I read this....jaded. I really feel sorry for you at not having had the experiences described by others here. TRUE friendship. Not just some internet "friend," rather people with whom I have and would bring to my house on any given day. I have met many from the Q as well but barely know them as I call this site home.

Well, I am no psychologist either and I do not intend to "rip" you or anyone else for voicing an honest opinion. I readily admit that I get somewhat "riled up" when I perceive a slight against my friends. From what you describe, I officially fit in neither category by virtue of the fact that I do not post everyday, much less ten times. I suppose that makes the likes of me the "X-Factor". Suitable, given that ever psychological profile requires one, no?
I respect your opinion, Craig. I respect that you have taken the time to think out your position, give examples for foundation and support with plausible theory. All very well done. I took exception with your previous post simply because I do not agree that the site itself is in "decay", nor do I believe for one minute that "closing it down" is of any use whatsoever. Further, there are some very good people here and I would not know them were it not for this site. I too remember the "good old days". I was not an official member in '03 but, when I finally joined and actually started posting, I do recall HalfordRiz becoming a great friend. I remember PriestHammer,DAS (Dark Angel of Sin) and Screamin Leads, Iceman, even Doll when she was a "regular". I even recall Darryn being a regular, contributing member that was a good friend. For that matter, I remember many of my childhood buddies from 40+ years ago. My point is, things change. Evolution, even on this scale, occurs. We learn to adapt or we move on. All very simple and no Ph.D required.
This Board has seen its ups and downs. Good people have left, as have idiots that are not missed at all. Much as in our personal lives, people come and go and life goes on. I see nothing wrong with developing bonds and standing up for those you care about. That is what friends do. I also see nothing wrong with weeding out trolls. That is our responsibility. Murray should not have to do it and has even said so on occasion. In any event, I do NOT believe this Board is in such a state as to require its dissolution. That is ridiculous.
Craig, you are a decent guy. As I mentioned earlier, I have never had a problem with you as far as I can recall. Disagreements are not a big deal. We will not always see "eye to eye", as it were. My thing is, if someone really finds this place such a hell hole, just leave and STAY GONE. With all the options available on the internet, one should never feel trapped in a place they do not like.

Yeah, those were the days! Compared to now there were a lot more people around back then. I can't remember the guy with the Beavis profile. I remember Shawn Torrents, Igor Vieira and Priest Hammer. I also remember a shitdisturber with the nickname Halfords Anus. He typed in big pink letters. I'm not kidding. Some time later Darryn Hellofs and his alter ego Moonbeam McQuade came around and the rest is history. Ha!

You know bloody damn well what happened back then, Headbanger. I critized the band's management, because I really didn't like the fact that Judas Priest joined the Ozzfest tour! I got banned because of my outspokeness. Some time later I joined again, under the same username. But I'm keeping a low profile since then. Ha!

You're right. I think I've been around since 2003 or 2004. I'm not sure though, it's a long time ago. I remember you were around as well back then. As far as I know you're the only member from that era that still posts today. All the others have disappeared.

You don’t have to be a psychologist to understand what’s going on in here. I’ve been around for quite a while now and I’ve developed my own little theory over time.
First of all I think it’s very important to point out that there are two groups of people frequenting this board. The first group is made up of occasional visitors. These people post a message every now and then, but never hang around for too long. These folks are decent and law-abiding members. I like to call this group of people the outer circle.
Then there is a second, smaller group, made up of veteran members: the inner circle. These people post 10 or more messages each day and often have more than 1000 or 2000 posts. I’m talking about the key players of the board. Some of these inner circle folks have the best intentions, but several others make up the amoral and corrupt establishment I was talking about in my previous message. A little club of sleazy people who are rotten to the core. It’s a well-known fact that there are a lot of ego clashes and struggles going on within the inner circle. For example: one of the most recent struggles revolved around key players like MG, Lady B, Soylent and a few others. This vicious war of words came to an end when a couple of these people walked off with their tail between their legs. This was just one such struggle. There have been countless struggles like that in the past. I firmly believe that some of these exiled members sometimes return as rogue members (Eviltwin 1, Eviltwin 2, FreakyMetalHead,…) to take revenge by destabilizing the board. Let there be no doubt about it: behind every rogue member, troll or imposter there is a former key player. This is not the work of an outside party. It's coming from within and it’s just a big mindfuck.
I’m not choosing sides or calling anyone names. Please keep that in mind in case anyone of you decides to rip me apart. This is simply the point of view of an outsider.
