You do, really. Am a monster fan myself. You just have to know where to look. While no 500+ year-old pedigree European brews, there are some simply outstanding microbrews across the USA that, IMO, can certainly hold their own against any I have tasted around the globe.
I am partial to a good warm stout or porter, truth be told. Guinness only on draft or in a pinch. Better than a pilsner but my fav is still from Australia. Sheaf Stout. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Necroticist from Monday, October 25, 2010 1:44:56 PM)

They are still one of the top live bands in Europe..apparently...i ain't seen 'em since John Sloman was the 'singer'..was so bad...and i ended up drunk, missed ma train and slept on West Runton beach lol. Cambridge...not been there for a while...last time was roadie for Steve Miller Band...the staff at the Corn Exchange pissed me off - ended up walking out...went to a bar...think it was called 'The Bunch Of Grapes'...just off the marketplace. U might know it...served an awesome pint of Abbot Ale.

I love chicks! But when I want to see them, I'll watch some lesbian porn. When I watch concert dvds of my favorite bands, I just want to watch the band. |

Another complaint that I have with many live dvds (ESPECIALLY Iron Maiden!) is they show way too much of the audience. I want to see the band. I don't give a shit about the audience. A lot of metal dvds are like this. Flight 666 had WAY too many shots of the audience. A shot of the audience once in a while doesn't bother me. But sometimes when I watch Flight 666, I think there's more footage of the audience than the band. Pisses me off! |

Thats a damn fine example .
My other favourite F...Up is when they include footage from another nights show - you buy the dvd thinking it was one complete gig ya know and hello its a mix of three
concerts.
I guess the whole bootleg Argument would make a interesting topic - the pros and cons etc

Oh HERE HERE! REALLY sux when bootleggers zoom into the wrong guitarist during a solo but that has happened on official releases! WTF?!
I have a number of videos (mostly bootlegs) that will actually get the guitarists wrong. Glenn when it is KK, KK when it is Glenn. The "Where is Rob" tour (2005...Haaaa!) sent many a bootlegger scrambling. On some you can see the frustration in the camera that searches madly for him and on others you can even hear a "spotter" telling the videographer: "there he is...riser, stage left!" Gotta love that "person mover" he was using. Better than Where's Waldo. Or here comes that great guitar solo i like and then all ya see is a close up on the drummer.
I wonder what improvements will be made in future live footage ??
