Richie is a mean guitar player.
And he has balls: taking over from KK is a risky decision that can make or break his career. I think he's doing great and we'll get to hear more of him as himself, rather than KK's replacement.
If I knew how to play guitar I would give my right nut to be in Priest.

I too would like to thank Richie for saving my all time favorite band!! He is kicking ass on stage and I can't wait to see it for myself

Richie is doing great on stage according to YouTube vids. I'd like to thank him for saving JP's ass to keep Epitaph tour going!

 Hallelujah Bev!!!! I'm SO glad to hear that you have had a change of opinion on this. Maybe it was seeing Rob the night the announcement was made - I could just see it in his eyes that he was devastated. But I knew that the guys tried everything and that this was not how they wanted it to be. Check out Richie on YouTube, he is REALLY GREAT!! And he is a great guy too. Check out his fan page on FaceBook - he posts some great stuff! He isn't KK and he never will be and I don't think he is trying to be KK either. I think after some time, you will see that he fits right in.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL HAMMOND AND DEEEEEEETROIT!!! I see a fifth of Patron in your future! And then a 'Rita falls in mine!

Too funny ... the first person I thought of was Iommi - lol Then I thought of RoyZ ... MetalMike. But no one really fit the part. And to be honest, when I first saw the pic of Faulkner on the site I thought it was a joke! I mean look at it. He couldn't look more like MIchael Jackson?! I thought WTF? Someone's really hacked the place! Need a new pick of Richie guys. It doesn't do him justice ... at all!

Yes, I know what you mean but enjoy that change. I think it's for the better, to keep them fresh. They're songs to be played live and not a monolithic structure. Even priests at catholic mass tend to alter their sermons to fit the occasion.
And I also know what you mean by travelling long distances and all that it implies in cost and time, especially because our parents don't pay for our shit any more. I hope you get to go one more time for good measure, though.
I was never as lucky to have seen them as often as you or many others, but I've seen them twice. The third and probably last, I want it to be the best experience! Don't like living in the past.
Being more stable these days makes me confident I'll attend one of their shows and I'll rock and headbang. Just to be sure to have something to complain about three days later, like neck pain or constant nosebleeds for 3 months.
